Well that was tighter than a crabs arse wasn't it!? And that's F'in watertight!

The title decider drew in crowds that the Ethihad could only dream of, to watch the Cubs take on the Brawlers at Strandtown.

There was nothing between the 2 teams for the first four innings as they played anything you can do, I can do too.

The fifth and sixth saw why the Cubs defence is no joke, cleaning up a couple more shut outs while their bats gave them a 6 run lead. The Brawlers could only tack on 2 more runs before the celebrations began.

Cubs take the win and their 2nd league title 10-14!

Last night saw the return of our prodigal Peter and Ruth being able to no longer limp across the field in support.

MVP went to Cubby who had the Bangorians tortured at bat and found himself once again coming out on top in a run down!

Cubs are back at it tonight, taking on the Buccaneers at home. First pitch 7pm.

It seems like for the first 4 innings both teams forgot what it was like to play in real softball Ulster weather. The fifth saw the Cubs get to grips with the game finally putting some breathing room on the scoreboard.

Cubs win 21-7

Kirsty picked up the MVP Haribos with a pair of doubles in her batting and big leftfield catches.
