Babolat Pure Drive Team (original!) was on the machine today. Very interesting racket. The Pure Drive was one of Babolat's first rackets in the 90s, and it changed the racket market for good. Before this game along, the racket manufacturer with the largest market share was probably Prince Tennis!

I think this one is from the 90s, judging by the paint job. Andy Roddick's racket of choice. In the early 2000s, Roddick had his rackets strung in hybrid with a white Babolat Polyester & Natural Gut, so I've strung this one in Diadem Flash & Synthetic Gut to recreate the look.

The original Wilson ProStaff 85 is a legendary racket that was used at the highest levels of tennis for nearly 20 years. There's a lot of different versions of the PS85, but the most prized by collectors is those from the Saint Vincent production run, famously favoured by Pete Sampras throughout his whole career.

I had one in for repairs & stringing recently, and I thought I'd show some ways to tell if a PS85 is from the famous factory.
