The council’s popular Coach Education Programme is back to help local sports clubs and coaches build their knowledge and skills ahead of the new season.

The new timetable runs from October to March, with courses delivered across several locations and online.

Course topics include:

🔹Autism and Sports Coaching Training

Online booking is now OPEN for November's Learn to Skate Programmes, commencing 5th,6th, 7th and 8th November 2026.

The six-week programme will have you gliding across the ice in no time, with options for the below classes:
❄️Ice Tots (suitable for ages 3 & 4 years)

❄️Grade 1 - ️Grade 8 (suitable for children aged 5+ and adults)
➡£70 per course

Complete your test on week 6 week and experience all the fun of skating under expert guidance, while building your strength and skills.

Celebrate 40 years of Dundonald International Ice Bowl on Saturday 26th September!

Expect a fantastic programme of entertainment throughout the day, from 1pm to 7pm, including mesmerising performances from acts including a magician, clowns and a juggler. 🤹🤡

Children can get in the birthday party spirit with face painting and balloon modelling, plus there will be plenty of prize giveaways, Spin the Wheel competitions and entertainment from Downtown Radio’s Glen Pavis. 🎤

⛸️Ice skating exhibitions at 1.15pm, 3.15pm and 5.15pm will feature some of the region’s top skating talent, including former Olympic skater and Ice Bowl coach Kevin van der Perren, Dancing on Ice star and Ice Bowl coach Maria Filippov, alongside other local performers.
