Captain Selva Balakrishnan said it best:

An excellent year filled with resilience, grit, passion, and togetherness. We played some brilliant cricket, fought hard in every match, and never stopped believing in each other.

⚡ CLINICAL 5-WICKET WIN FOR BISC III! ⚡
A fantastic run chase by BISC 3rd XI, successfully chasing down 196 in just 24 overs to secure a brilliant victory over Derriaghy 2nd XI!
🌟 MVPs of the Match:
🏏 P. Shanmugam – Match-winning, unbeaten 89 runs off 76 balls* to guide the team home!
🎯 Gopal Krishna B – Disciplined spell of 1/27 (6 overs with 1 maiden) along with a solid 15 runs with the bat!

Match Summary

Derriaghy won the toss and elected to bat first.

Jivan Satpute gave us the perfect start with an early breakthrough, as he so often does. Gopal and Kapala then chipped in with a wicket each, while the rest of the bowling unit played their part by keeping things tight with economical spells. We conceded only 12 extras, which was a positive, but our fielding still needs significant improvement despite all the catching and fielding practice sessions. Improving our intensity and consistency in the field will make us an even stronger side.

Overall, it was a disciplined bowling performance that helped us maintain pressure throughout the innings.

In the chase, we lost an early wicket, but Poorna batted brilliantly, scoring an unbeaten 89 and anchoring the innings superbly. A crucial partnership between Nandeesh and Poorna steadied the chase, while Gopal's quick cameo provided the finishing touch. BISC 3rd completed the chase comfortably, winning by 5 wickets.

An absolute powerhouse performance from BISC 2nd XI, putting up an incredible total of 363/8 before bowling out CSNI 3rd XI for 164!

A dominant all-round performance from the team as BISC 2nd XI defeated CSNI 3rd XI by 199 runs.

Batting Highlights
Selva Balakrishnan starred with a sensational 120 off 52 balls, setting the tone with a breathtaking attacking innings. Poorna provided excellent support with 43 off 33, while Mayur Kmn played a blistering cameo of 37 off 13. Vinod Salian remained unbeaten on 40, and Jivan Satpute finished strongly with an unbeaten 28, helping the team post a massive 363/8 in 35 overs.
To the best of our knowledge, this is the highest-ever BISC team score.

Bowling Summary
Jivan Satpute struck early to give the team the perfect start and returned at the end to claim the final wicket, finishing with two wickets. Sasi produced the standout spell of the innings, claiming three crucial wickets to break key partnerships and keep CSNI on the back foot. Satya also impressed with two wickets, maintaining excellent control and conceding just 24 runs in his seven overs. Nithin chipped in with a wicket, while Gopu and Vinod bowled valuable supporting spells as the team bowled out CSNI for 164 in 32.5 overs.

Fielding Highlights
A superb team effort in the field with some excellent catching throughout the innings. Vinod pulled off a spectacular flying slip catch that would surely have been the catch of the day, but unfortunately it wasn't counted as the batter was given not out 😜. Good catches were also taken by Mayur, Poorna, Nandeesh, Selva, Vinod, and Satya.

We set a formidable target of 204/7 in our 25 overs and backed it up with a stellar bowling performance to bowl Bangor out for 153.
