The Night Institute, David Holmes and Shorts Recreational Club are teaming up for a series of parties and we’re kicking it all off with the Halloween Ball.

After two raucous bank holidays in one of the unique venues in the city, we thought it was time to get our teeth in to something more regular.

We’ve fallen in love with the Shorts Club on Holywood Road, and it seems like everyone on the dancefloor has to.

So this Halloween, dress up, dress down. Fill your boots. This one’s for the dancefloor freaks.

We’re delighted to host Nashville Promotions’ Country Jamboree here at Shorts Sports and Recreation Club on Friday 30th October 2026! A huge lineup of country talent takes to the stage — John Rafferty, Mary Hoey, Tony Kerr, Orlaith Furey, Conor Chism, Rachel McConnell, Alastair Spence, Boxcar Brian, Chris Blair, with backing from The Nashville Country Boys, compèred by William George.

Every penny raised goes towards PIPS Su***de Prevention — a cause that touches so many families across our community. Come along for a brilliant night of live country music while supporting a vital charity.
