Hello friends 💐
This week has been sooooo full of social events, community gatherings and lovely lovely people. It is so easy to look at the news, scroll for a bit too long, get into our heads and forget about the power that we hold as people ♥️
Yoga reminds us of that, again and again. Everything changes, all the time. But there is something behind all this that doesn’t change, something that grounds us, nurtures us, brings us back to why we practice.
At the start of this week I was feeling very doom and gloom.
A corporate wellness festival ran by someone with big money living in England was starting to set up its tents in Ormeau Park, around the corner from where I live, with the prospect of making a killing from local people (whom they had very little engagement with when booking their line up).
The posts that weren’t AI generated on my feed were about Trump visiting Ireland or people locally using poor puppies as an attraction in their Pilates classes.
My PMS kicked in and I really wasn’t feeling up to facing the world, let alone teach yoga.
But as the week went by, and I kept on bumping into the amazing people I have in my life, and I kept on practicing yoga, on reflecting, on being more present, it all softened a little.
The gathering we had with the Yoga Fellowship NI on Saturday and the one we had with Regard today showed me once again, the power of love, of people getting together, caring for each other and wanting a better world for everyone.
I’m so grateful. So so grateful ♥️
This week I will be teaching:
Monday and Friday at Maitri Studio Belfast (Monday is Hatha 6.30-7.30pm and Friday is my first solo workshop 7-9pm!) 🙏🏻
Wednesday at Alpha Physio (Hatha, 7.15-8.15pm) ✨
Thursday at Yoga Quarter (Hatha, 10-11am) 🤍
Sunday YOGA, REFORMER & PILATES STUDIO BELFAST (Vinyasa, 10-11am) 💛
And here is to not being affected by the noise of the world as much this coming week and finding our calm space again!
