Job Opportunity - Wheelchair Basketball Competition Officer

NJC Pay Scale 6 Points 18 – 22 (£31,537 – £33,699 Under Review). £6,307 – £6,740 per annum pro-rata for a 7.5 hour week.

The post holder will be responsible for the organisation of wheelchair basketball competitions in Northern Ireland.

The role will focus on fixture planning, competition administration, event day coordination, communication with clubs and officials, and results reporting to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of domestic competition activity.

NI Wheelchair Basketball League Finals Day 🏀 Saturday 9th May 2026

This Saturday will see the culmination of the 2025/26 NI Wheelchair Basketball League as teams compete in our annual Finals Day at Newforge Sports Complex and Event Hub. It will be an action packed day with all teams with the chance of competing for the Vase and League trophies respectively.

The Finals Day is a great opportunity to showcase the talent the league has to offer and spectators are encouraged to come along and enjoy the matches throughout the day.

Full schedule below:

9.30am - Semi-Final 1
Knights (KM) vs Bangor Bulls

10.45am - Semi-Final 2
Werewolves vs SW Storm

12pm - Semi-Final 3
Knights (TH) vs Craigavon Lakers

1.15pm - Vase Final
Causeway Giants vs Winner Semi-Final 2

2.30pm - League Final
Winner SF1 vs Winner SF3

The NI Wheelchair Basketball League, proudly sponsored by Perennials RFC, heads to South Lake Leisure Centre in Craigavon this Saturday 28th of March for the final gameday before Finals Day. This round will be hosted by the Craigavon Lakers Wheelchair Basketball Club.

With the season reaching its end, every game counts as teams battle for their place in the Finals. Friends, families, and supporters are invited to come along and be part of the atmosphere!
