🏆 A massive congratulations to our lifeguard team who competed in the GLL National Lifeguard Competition in Templemore yesterday.

We are incredibly proud of all four boys for their outstanding effort, teamwork, and dedication throughout the competition. Their hard work paid off as they brought home a trophy for the centre.🏅

You represented Andersonstown with professionalism, skill, and determination, and did the entire team proud. Thank you for being fantastic ambassadors for the centre and for showcasing the high standards of lifeguarding we strive for every day.

Drowning Prevention Week is here 💦🚨

Our swim teachers have been helping children build essential water safety skills while having fun in the pool.

From safe entries and exits, learning about lifeguards and pool safety equipment, to floating for life, reach rescues, and even swimming in clothing, every lesson is designed to help children feel safer and more confident around water.

A huge thank you to Wendy and all our fantastic swim teachers for making water safety engaging, educational, and enjoyable for all our young swimmers. 🏊‍♀️

Congratulations to our colleague Sean Óg McLaren (Naomh Pól, Antrim) on an outstanding achievement at the Ulster Poc Fada! 🏆

The Ulster Poc Fada 2026 took place on Tuesday 16th June at Gowkstown Hill, Glenarm, where Sean Óg successfully retained his Ulster Poc Fada title in impressive fashion.

Producing a superb performance, Sean Óg claimed victory and set a new course record with a winning score of 23 pocs and 191 yards. Facing strong competition throughout the event, he held off a number of determined challengers to once again demonstrate his exceptional skill, determination and consistency.

Everyone here is delighted to see his hard work and dedication rewarded. Congratulations, Sean Óg, on another remarkable success and best wishes for the competitions ahead!
