On World Su***de Prevention Day 2026 it’s not ok to tell a suicidal person ‘it’s ok to not be ok’. Su***de is too serious. The suicidal person’s life is too important. We must not dismiss the life threatening emotional pain that a suicidal person may have had to endure for decades as ‘ok’. We must not dismiss as ‘ok’ what has been done to some people who are suicidal: abuse is ‘not ok’; rejection is ‘not ok’; abandonment is ‘not ok’; bullying is ‘not ok’; shaming is ‘not ok’….
If you are suicidal it’s ok to get help. If you are suicidal it’s ok to get a new life for yourself. You are amazingly strong. You’ve struggled and fought this far. You can get help to keep yourself safe from su***de. Keep going. You deserve life. 🕊 See less
