I’m by no means saying Slimming World is a perfect plan btw, but nowhere does it say that just because you don’t have to weigh out your pasta that you should eat a full packet intended to serve 6 people x

If you struggle with thinking your food has to be perfect or you’ve fu**ed it, this one’s for you.

Meal prepping and tracking calories shouldn’t feel like a full time job, and it doesn’t have to be if you find a few things that work for you and rinse them.

It could be always having the same breakfast/lunch, having a few things on standby for days when you can’t be bothered cooking but also don’t want to be reaching for Just Eat either.

There is always something, and we’re not looking for perfect because how often is your life actually perfect? We’re looking for pretty decent or better than the alternative, while still being manageable.

Prepped an overnight weetabix base, so I could add my toppings in the morning depending on what I fancied

Chopped up some leftover roast chicken and tossed with some veggies, feta, mayo & sriracha to make a ‘sandwich filler’ for pitas I already had

Made a batch of dressing that I could portion out daily, so all I had to do was quickly fire the cucumber over a mandolin slicer

Have convenience options available - air fried cod bites, steamed veg, seasoned light mayo all in took about 12-15 minutes start to finish, came in between 5-600 cals and about 27g protein

Every so often I take the notion that maybe I could love running, so I’m indulging myself and documenting this time, with a few suggestions from friends to try along the way!

This probably could be a rant if I was prepared to waste my energy and peace on getting annoyed, but I’m not.

So let me just give you a friendly reminder instead ☺️

A reminder of the ‘personal’ in personal trainer, and that you are entitled to have the service tailored to your needs - it’s kinda the point. Every person is different, every body is different, everyone’s needs are different… blah blah right you get the point, but you know what I’m getting at.

You are entitled to be in the gym as much as the next person, and you’re entitled to receive a truly personalized service if that’s what you’re paying for!
