A great night was had at the Furzebrake on Saturday night celebrating the end of the sseason and presenting the players with their deserved end of season trophies. 122 players, club members and their partners attended a great eve to also celebrate Mark Rookes unprecedented achievements as Beer Albion Football Clubs most successful Manager, as he takes a well earned rest. Chairman, John Moughton thanked Mark and his wife, Sharon for all their hard work and dedication over the last 7 or so years. Mark (and Sharon) will still be around the Furzebrake in some capacity, Mark, possibly the club's referees liaison officer 😂. Alfie Matthews will step up as joint manager with Stuart Harwood.Thanks to everyone who attended a great evening of food laughter and dancing. Also big thanks to Grant and the team for eve food and the team from the Kingfisher for manning the bar. Here's to the 2026/27 season. Beer Ball.

Hi All, Just a reminder that its the 1st Teams last game of the season on Sat where we welcome Plymstock to the Furzebrake, more importantly its Mark's last game in charge of the team after a brilliant few years at the helm, taking a bunch of talented 16 year olds and winning the Premier Cup twice, the Devon league and the League Cup twice, an unprecedented run of success in Beers History, please pop up and support the team and Mark in his last game as he hands over the job, in to the capable hands of Stuart Harwood and Alfie Matthews. Unfortunately Clyst Valley, tomorrow's opponents at the Furzebrake have advised they won't be able to fulfill the fixture because they can't raise a side which means your only football fix at the Albion tomorrow will be the 9am KO youth team game, I'm sure Steve and the team would welcome your support. Its with Great Sadness BAFC have to announce the passing of Norman LG Lambert, Norman was born in Beer on August the 18th 1937 where he spent his early years, moving to London to work in the construction industry where he became a very successful businessman. He returned to Beer in the 90's where he supported both the Sailing club and The Albion with a passion, Norman became one of the Furzebrakes Legendary Old Farts! Our sincere condolences go to Normans wife Lila and the rest of the family. Beer Ball.

Unfortunately the wet stuff has scuppered another afternoon at the Furzebrake, the 1st team game against Plymstock is postponed, the 2nds game away at Clyst Valley is also postponed 😢. Beer Ball.

Thanks to Beer Memories (Karen) for digging this beauty out, Beer, Colyton and Seaton boys, early 70s I would estimate, some names below (a couple missing so please fill in the blanks) some good players in that team who went on to play some top adult football for Beer, Colyton and Seaton.
