Our reserve side fell to their 2nd defeat Sunday in a physical game vs Griff & Coton Res!

The game started slow for the Res boys going 3-0 down inside 25 mins, the lads struggled to get going and seen Griff add a forth before halftime!

2nd half was about showing character and the lads done that with a dominant 45 mins creating plenty of chances, hitting the woodwork and getting a goal back with a threaded pass from Junior for Reagan ⚽️ to finish well 4-1!
Fulltime!

Plenty of positives to take from the lads 2nd half performance and plenty to build on for this young side, MoM went to Joel who was class in midfield today! Well done m8! 👏🏻

The lads now focus on this Sundays game vs Burbage & Huncote at Heckley!

We welcomed Grendon Fc today in what we knew would be tough!

The lads started slow giving possession away cheaply looking flat at times and defending for long spells. Around the half hour mark the game started to open up more with both sides creating chances until the 42nd minute the Eagles broke down the right, it was shifted inside finding its way to Jamie ⚽️ who hit it 1st time from easy 30 yards bending into the top far corner giving the keeper no chance!! A rare goal to see scored at this level! It was that good!

Unfortunately for the lads we switched off allowing their Grendon forward in ultimately diving in and giving the penalty, up stepped their playmaker to sink the Pen! ⚽️ 1-1!
Halftime soon followed.

2nd half started how the 1st finished with the game wide open, constant attacks and counter attacks were in flow and it wouldn’t be to long before Eagles got another with Logan whipping in a lovely corner for the machine Sam ⚽️ to get his head on 2-1! More chances came for both sides as each hit the woodwork but it would be Eagles day with a late attack and Axel finding Liam ⚽️ to slot a birthday goal in and seal the win! 3-1! Fulltime

MoM went to Sam 🏆 who worked tirelessly on and off the ball giving the Grendon defenders a torrid 90 mins, took his goal really well, well done m8! 👏🏻

We welcomed Birmingham Medics 2nds today in the County Cup, a complete unknown to us.

We started the game well carving out good chances and around the half hour mark Jack raced down the right only to be taken out, up stepped Logan ⚽️ to sink the free kick 1-0!

The lads struggled at times in a very scrappy game and kept pushing for more, as we moved into the final 15 mins we upped the tempo and got another 2 goals from Axel ⚽️ & Jamie ⚽️ to seal the win 3-0 and put ourselves in the hat for the 2nd round, MoM went to Logan 🏆 who was superb today, took his free kick well, hit the bar, created good clear chances with pin point crosses and worked tirelessly for 90 mins! Well done m8! Brilliant today.

As a team we know the performance wasn’t there today but we found the goals when we needed them, we will go again! UTE!

2 losses in 2 days was tough for the lads playing against a very good Craven Fc side, goals coming from Brad ⚽️, Sam ⚽️ & Goerge ⚽️,
MoM was Brad 🏆 never stopped and gave everything he had! Focus moves to another tough fixture vs Grendon! UTE! 🦅⚽️

Not the result we wanted, the lads were guilty of missing clear cut chances 1st half with 2 goal line clearances ultimately running out of steam 2nd half and conceding sloppy goals.

MoM went to Jake, worked himself into the ground for the team and the badge!

Onto the next 1! UTE! 🦅⚽️
