Hinckley Spartans 0v5 Coventry Phoenix Blitz

A good pre-season friendly this morning, with a few boys climbing snowdon we spoke about how we adapt certain positions and how being a team we can still deliver for each other. They didnt disappoint we were fast out the traps and nearly scoring in the first minute of the match however some great goalkeeping kept us out.

We kept building pressure on the press trying to force the mistakes and trying to play the right way. If we lost the ball we reacted quickly to recover it and play out again. We played well in front of our oppositions goal and done well in defending ours when called into action. Again Hinckleys keeper were on hand a number of times to keep us out else we could of had a few more, he was certainly their player of the game from our point of view.

It was great to see the boys back in match day action. We're looking forward to another test on Wednesday in what should be a great game.

The boys did great today in the Next Generation tournament. Never conceded a goal all day also present was Lennon and Leo both had to shoot off, proud of everyone of you well done lads another bit of silverware. Great support from the families and friends on the touchline too. 👏💙⚽️👍

Coventry Phoenix Blitz 4 v Leamington 1

As the season draws to a close with only one game remaining this season. The boys had to be up for this one today as leamington looked strong with the results they have been getting.

With illness in the camp we were down to the bare minium and a few boys wasn't 100% however that didnt stop the performance and delivery of the team. The efforts from each and everyone of them today was superb. Leamington didn't give up and we had to be on our toes.

Todays Coaches and Parents player went to Riley not always busy but he is there when called into action, pulled off some great saves and distributed the ball well from the back. Well done mate keep it up 👏👏👏

Fantastic team performance today to secure a brilliant win! The passing throughout the game was outstanding, with the team moving the ball quickly and creating so many chances together. Every player worked hard both on and off the ball, showing great determination and commitment from start to finish.

We were physical, strong in the challenges, and played with real intensity all over the pitch. Most importantly, the players worked as a team, supporting each other in every moment and showing excellent teamwork throughout the match.

A well deserved result after a top quality performance, proud of the effort, attitude, and togetherness shown by everyone today! ⚽👏

Coventry Phoenix Blitz 5 vs Soccerockz Cyclones 2

With the sun shining and the games counting down the boys didnt disappoint. Some cracking football played with some good tempo and Intent from the get go. The Soccerockz goalkeeper being made to work hard and pulling off some cracking saves throughout the game 👏

Coaches player was a difficult one today but 2 players were selected today the work off the ball and runs being made he covered large amounts of the pitch and won large amounts of his tackles went to Frankie unlucky not to get on the score sheet too well done mate 👏👏👏

The next coaches player went to Lewis got of to a slow start which we had a discussion around. It was from then with his reaction hunger to win his tackles and trying to beat his man. This led to chances being created. Well done mate 👏👏👏

Parents player went to Lionel, battled well in the game in a few positions brave in one of his goals and worked hard for the team. His constant pressure on the ball allowed alot of chances to come about. Well done mate 👏👏👏

Coventry Phoenix Blitz 4 v Vision 2

Today seen us back in league action against a good Vision team who played some nice football and made our game quite scrappy by our standards. As a team not everything fell in place for us as it could of but the boys remained focused.

Today's coaches player went to Lionel he delivered a nice finish, however it was his work rate for the team that got him the reward today well done mate 👏👏👏

Parents player went to Lewis we spoke at half time which took his game to the next level in the second half winning his tackles and working hard out wide both tracking back and getting forward well done mate 👏👏👏

Coventry Phoenix Blitz 2 v 3 Maine

The last game of the year drummed up to be a classic. It what was a very tight game that could of really gone either way. Going down 0-1 in the 1st 10 minutes we needed that to wake up as the boys started to get a grip in the game a wonder strike from no where seen us go down 0-2.

At half time we spoke about needed more energy and working hard off the ball for each other. Once the boys started this from the off in the 2nd half we forced mistakes and was rewarded for it. Managing to get level in the game it was end to end stuff going close a number of times we got caught in the last few minutes for the game to finish 2-3

Coaches Player of the match was lennon with aiming to create and working off the ball in the way he did its really paying off in his game. Lts not me tion the 2 free kicks mate 🤷‍♂️ well done mate keep it up 👏👏👏

Parents player went to leo looked a threat everytime he had the ball and ran at their defence, getting quite abit of sucess well done mate keep it up. Lets push on in the new year 👏👏👏
