We are named after Barnesbury Road in Newcastle where we were formed in 1923. Our home now sits nestled at the heart of Gallagher Park in Bedlington, Northumberland, NE22 7LA. If you wan
t to have a crack at BMX racing, our coaching sessions run 11:00-12:00 every Saturday for beginners and 12:15-13:15 for more advanced riders, but more up to date info including links to sign-on is posted on the main page each week. BMX racing is quick, exciting and intense and we're pretty confident if you have a go, you'll love it. Our coaches are all British Cycling qualified and have fun and enjoyment in the sport. If you want to try a bit in your own time, the track is open to the public so if you want to head down and try it out please do, but we really recommend you wear a helmet, long-sleeved top and trousers at a minimum, if you've got gloves great, saves some gravelly palms. It's great fun, but the grounds normally a lot harder than you are if you come off. There's all ages, abilities, lads and lasses who attend so don't be put off if you're a beginner, we even have some gear you can loan to try it out. Know your way around a BMX or fancy a new challenge, then don't be shy, as everyone is welcome.
