Barnesbury BMX & MTB Welcome to the Barnesbury BMX page. Barnesbury BMX Club forms part of the wider Barnesbury CC which really is a club for life. See you at the start gate!!

If you're interested in BMX Racing and want to give it a try out, like the page and we'll keep you updated with coaching sessions, race events and much more, so make sure you hit that like button to stay clued up! We are named after Barnesbury Road in Newcastle where we were formed in 1923. Our home now sits nestled at the heart of Gallagher Park in Bedlington, Northumberland, NE22 7LA. If you want to have a crack at BMX racing, our coaching sessions run 11:00-12:00 every Saturday for beginners and 12:15-13:15 for more advanced riders, but more up to date info including links to sign-on is posted on the main page each week. BMX racing is quick, exciting and intense and we're pretty confident if you have a go, you'll love it. Our coaches are all British Cycling qualified and have fun and enjoyment in the sport. If you want to try a bit in your own time, the track is open to the public so if you want to head down and try it out please do, but we really recommend you wear a helmet, long-sleeved top and trousers at a minimum, if you've got gloves great, saves some gravelly palms. It's great fun, but the grounds normally a lot harder than you are if you come off. There's all ages, abilities, lads and lasses who attend so don't be put off if you're a beginner, we even have some gear you can loan to try it out. Know your way around a BMX or fancy a new challenge, then don't be shy, as everyone is welcome.

⭐️ Event of the Week ⭐️

This week we are focussing on BMX and Barnesbury BMX & MTB “Race Around the Region” Winter BMX event.

📆 Over the next few months, a chance to race on circuits around the region.

❓ This is for all age groups whether novice or expert.

🍱 There’ll be refreshments available at each event.

🏆 Season trophies will be presented at the end of the season. The best 4 rounds qualify for points and to be eligible, you must complete 3 rounds.

No MTB Coaching at Gallagher Park Saturday 19 Sep. We are having an away day to Hamsterley Forest MTB trails. The Red MTB trail is about 12 miles with 1,600ft of climbing. This was originaly suposed to be Sunday 20th, but has now been changed to Sat.

So this weekend we have Round 1 of Race Around the Region on Sunday 20th. With this in mind there will be no coached BMX session on Saturday but, all you guys should be coming on Sunday for a go at racing. All the coaches will be there to assist you as the day progresses, racing is done in age groups and there are novice and expert classes to ensure you have the best racing experience. Link below to sign on, please try and do this before Friday to save the admin team loads of extra work on Sunday morning. Who know's we may have a new World Champion in our club 🤪🤩

We are however looking for some volunteers to assist on the day, duties include, marshals, tuck shop, parking assistance, admin and pens people. Any help is much appreciated 😍
