Folks, I thought it was important to post this picture to show the reality of being a martial artist. This is a set of bruises caused by the proper application of a self defence technique. I volunteered to be the attacker against my 7th Dan Master Belt in front of a room of Dan members. He punched me in the bicep with his middle knuckle and believe me it really hurt! I knew it would hurt but it was important that everyone understood how to apply the technique properly. If you think your martial art skills will make you impervious to harm you are very much mistaken, you will likely get hurt while defending yourself, but it is a lesson worth learning.

No special clothing needed, just come with casual clothing and a willingness to learn a life skill that will boost your mental and physical wellbeing, improve your confidence, concentration, spatial awareness and build self control and discipline. We are a traditional Korean Martial Art, similar to Karate, with a focus on discipline and mutual respect, come and give us a try

Class will start back on Thursday 8th of January. Looking forward to seeing you all again. If looking to start a new fitness regime please consider trying martial arts, it will improve your mental and physical wellbeing and also give you a life skill! I have been training for 20 years and still learning new things!

Well folks, that wraps up our 2025 calendar with a final class this evening. Good turn out, bit of fun and a lot of hard work. Belt presentations for those who graded last Saturday, bit of fun with a sword, some defence exercises with sponge striking pads, bit of dodgeball and some Heroes as a treat for everyone. Looking forward to seeing you all in the New Year 👊

Fantastic weekend spent with our extended TSD family. Early morning training session led by Grand Master Nar, followed by a memorable Black Belt presentation ceremony followed by a grading. Had four students grade, three of them on Saturday, you all worked extremely hard and performed really well on the day. Congratulations to all of you. Tang Soo, Master Bradley.
