As part of 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟭𝘀𝘁-𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲, we’re celebrating the real heartbeat of our races: 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘴 💛🖤

If you’ve ever run the Doug Anderson 5k, you’ll know it’s famous for more than just PBs. It’s the marshals cheering you round every corner, the friendly faces at registration, the water station crew, the finish line team calling your name.

The Bedford Harriers Beginners Group is starting next week and it’s perfect if you’re brand new to running.

No experience needed. No judgment. Just friendly support to help you go from zero to 5k at your own pace.

If you’ve been thinking _“I’d love to do the Doug Anderson 5k but I can’t run yet”_ – this is for you. Our training is aimed to have you ready to complete the event with your fellow beginners.

We had a fantastic time yesterday volunteering at our much-loved Oakley 20 race.

If you took part, we hope you enjoyed it and are recovering well!

If you'd like to enjoy that amazing support again but on a much shorter distance (and hopefully in much warmer weather!) enter the Doug Anderson 5k taking place on 22nd July!

We had an incredible day welcoming 649 runners to the this morning 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

20 miles of perseverance, tenacity, strength — and so many personal achievements out on the course today. What a day!

Can you join us in giving a huge thank you to our 140 amazing volunteers 💛🖤
Quite simply, this event doesn’t happen without them.
From marshals to water stations, HQ to finish funnel — they were all brilliant.
