Achievement Through Enjoyment
EBB has a culture of achievement through enjoyment. As a community and performance on target club we are fully inclusive and have a number of members with disabilities, and welcome all to have the opportunity to enjoy the sport. A number of our archers represent the county and have done for a number of years. Also our archers take part in county, regional and nationa
l tournaments with some great success. Our coaching arm provides regular coaching sessions for the club archers on a monthly basis for the adults and a ½ termly basis for the juniors. Although target archery is the main focus of the club we also regularly take part in clout (shooting longer distances at a flag) events and competitions. Last year we secured a full time outdoor venue too, which allows both target and field discipline practice. Each year we as a club nominate a local charity which becomes our main focus and culminates at our record status shoot. Our home “The Eagle’s Nest” boasts two official length halls, and an outdoor playing field which is ample in size to shoot maximum distances in both metric and imperial rounds as well as full clout distances. Juniors Policy:
With a thriving junior section EBB prides itself on achievement through enjoyment. We have no minimum age however, if under 10 your child will have to attend a 1-2- 1 session with our head coach in order to ensure that they are able to draw the bow, and are safe in doing so. Our junior captain is an Archery GB silver medalist and holds a number of both county and national records, in both target and clout archery. Beginners Courses:
Our courses are run frequently throughout the year. The cost of the 6 week course is £60, which can be paid either by BACS, PayPal or Cheque. All equipment required is provided by the club. For more information on our beginners courses please see our website where there is a contact us form. Our coaching team will then email out to you all the relevant paper work. We have no minimum age, however under 10’s will need to attend an assessment with our head coach to determine suitability and safety. EBB Welcome all abilities into the club and actively promote that archery is a sport of all.
