Martin has just sent over the latest round of results for our Seniors competitions! We’ve had some absolute thrillers on the baize, including two massive final-frame deciders in the Knockout Quarter-Finals.

Here is how the action went down:

🏆 SENIORS KNOCKOUT (QUARTER-FINALS)

* Liz Walsh 4 – 3 Roy McNally
What a battle! This one went right down to the wire, but Liz held her nerve in the final frame to book her spot in the semis. Brilliant match! 🎯

* Dave Walsh 4 – 3 John Hurst
Another absolute nail-biter that went all the way! Dave dug deep to edge past John in a 7-frame classic. Pure class under pressure! 💎

📊 SENIORS PLATE LEAGUE

* Reg Argent 2 – 2 Mick Peart
A proper gritty encounter here! Neither player could quite break away, with both playing some fantastic tactical frames to share the points. 🤝

* Rich Jewson 3 – 0 Malc Holland
A clinical, dominant performance from Rich to secure a clean sheet and pick up maximum points for the league table! 🚀

The official scores from Monday night's Beds Independent Pool League games are finalized, and it was an absolute night of big wins and dramatic battles for the Greyfriars squads!

🏆 THE VICTORIES

* Premiership Division: Greyfriars A 13 – 2 Daleys B
An absolute masterclass on the home tables! The A-team put on a dominant display from start to finish, dropping just two frames to secure a massive statement victory. Outstanding performance! 🚀💪

* Division 4: Greyfriars C 9 – 6 Daleys Beach Boys
A fantastic performance from the C-team at home! They put in a rock-solid shift to claim a well-earned 9-6 victory and keep their great momentum building. 🎯👏

* Division 2: Wootton Blue Cross Club 7 – 8 Greyfriars B
Talk about a gritty away day! The B-team took it right to the wire in a tense final-frame decider on the road and showed incredible composure to secure the win. Brilliantly played! 💎

💔 THE CLOSE CALLS

* Division 3: Chalk Is Cheap (legends) 10 – 5 Greyfriars Pocket Pounders
A tough night on the road against a strong side. The Pocket Pounders battled hard but couldn't quite find their rhythm this time. We dust down the cues and bounce back next week! 👊

* Division 4: Greyfriars Breaking Bad 6 – 9 Willow Tree Club B
Another hard-fought battle at home that didn't quite go our way. Breaking Bad put up a great fight, and the frames were much closer than the final score looks! 💥

A massive well played to everyone who got on the tables and represented the club this week. The fighting spirit was top-tier as always!

🕒 MONDAY REVEAL: THE BOY WONDER! 👑✨

Time to reveal the answer to Friday's trivia question! We asked who still holds the record as the youngest ever World Snooker Championship winner.

The Answer: It is C) Stephen Hendry! 🎯🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Way back in 1990, a fresh-faced Stephen Hendry lifted the famous trophy at the Crucible aged just 21 years and 106 days old. Wu Yize came incredibly close to breaking that 36-year-old record last month at age 22, but "The Golden Bairn" keeps his crown for now!

It’s been a busy week in the professional world as the dust settles on Q School 2026. The final four graduates have officially secured their spots on the pro tour for the next two seasons, bringing some fresh talent to the circuit!

📅 Looking Ahead:
The World Seniors Snooker circuit has also just announced its 2026/27 season dates! The action kicks off on August 14th in Reading, featuring nine ranking events as the legends of the game battle it out once again.
