Canoe Trail is a multi award winning family-run business based on the River Great Ouse in Bedford. The team is made up of keen paddlers, at all levels of ability, with each member participating in the various aspects of paddling. We run British canoeing courses from personal paddling awards to instructor training and first aid . We also stock canoes, kayaks and SUP’s and paddling kit for people wa
nting to purchase their own equipment . We have a woodland campsite called Matchstick Woods where customers enjoy the peaceful settings of a rural woodland accessible from the River. Our woodland camping was voted Top 52 things to do in the world by Lonely Planet and top 3 in the Uk by Red Bull Magazine .We are based out of Kempston Outdoor Centre with a climbing wall, high ropes , archery and air gun ranges and more besides
We can tailor activities and paddling experience from a simple half-day through to multi-day or canoeing holidays. Further afield we run intro to moving water courses, best of Scotland and expeditions to the Jurassic Coast, Ontario and the mighty Yukon River.
