We are in partnership with SCL Education who have been established over 20 years and have over 70 sites across the UK that supply education for 16–18-year-olds.

Our site in Bedford is based at the Bedford Athletic Stadium, and we currently run a Football and Education program that started in September 2023. With the success of the Football program, we have decided to launch programs in Girls Football, Netball (Partnership with Team Beds Netball), Boys Rugby (Partnership with Bedford Swifts) and Boxing that will start in September 2024.

We are also relaxed with our entry requirements of our courses; we judge on each individual circumstances and on a personal basis rather what grades the individual received in their exams.

We have several students that should have been placed on a Level 2 course this academic year however we gave them an opportunity to do a Level 3 and they have shown they have the capability to complete the qualification. This has saved them a year in education and means they can leave when 18 and not 19 if they were to be put on a Level 2 qualification.

Our students study a NCFE Level 3 qualification in Sport and Physical Activity and have the opportunity to study A level Psychology as well. Students will have the opportunity to resit English and Maths if they don’t achieve a Level 4 in their GCSE’s as well.

We at Athletico Sport and Education want to create a Sport Hub for talented 16-18 year olds in Bedford and hope the local schools can help us achieve this. We also want to give them opportunities to understand different roles within the sport industry and have guest speakers who are experts in their fields regularly come in to give presentations.

We also work with the biggest agency in US Scholarships FirstPoint USA who help us provide opportunities to gain a scholarship in the USA when they finish their qualification with us. We also work with local football clubs to provide holiday clubs and extra football sessions with our students running the sessions.

Social Media Trainee Wanted for Athletico Football and Education

You will participate in a 10-12 hourly weekly work placement program alongside your studies with SCL Education.

You will work alongside our Head of Programs to work on our Social Media channels on a daily basis.

You will also have the opportunity to work alongside the marketing department at SCL Education to gain more experience.

Want to play against professional academies outside England.

Athletico will be visiting Dubai in January 2024 to play in an International tournament against the likes of LA Galaxy (USA) Yokohama (Japan) Ado Den Haag (Holland) Parma (Italy) and Old Newells (Argentina) to name just a few.

The boys will play a guaranteed 4-5 matches in Dubai and hope to qualify for the finals where they will be played in UAE Champions Shabab Al Ahli stadium.

Want to play in the USA and gain a scholarship with a US University.

We work with First Point USA who are the biggest agency in the UK for US Scholarships.

We will be holding a trial that First Point USA will be attending in October for our current players and our new recruits for September 2024.

First Point USA will also be giving a presentation to players and parents on US Scholarships.
