I went to a punk night on Saturday. Veeeeerry much my music - I sang a bit too hard and turned up to today’s client training sounding like I’d smoked forty a day since 1998.

Also did some head banging and now feel like I need a neck brace.

But I digress, today our clients had a really good coaching call.

Today’s training was about a topic I get asked about more than anything else.

Literally multiple times a week.

Steps.

How many should you do? What’s the easiest way to get more in? I’m at a desk all day and I barely see daylight, how can I get 10k?

So I put together fifteen ludicrously easy ways to get more in without it feeling like another plate to spin. They’re in the slides.

Before you swipe, two things worth knowing.

10,000 came from a 1960s Japanese pedometer advert. Not a study. The research puts the plateau closer to 8,500, and the number that actually moves things is your own current average plus about 2,000. So if you’re on 4,000 a day, you’ve got far more to gain than someone grinding for 10.

And the fat loss is honestly the side effect. What changes first is your head. A walk is the only bit of most people’s day where nobody can ask them for a snack, a lift, or where their PE kit is.

Pick two. Set a floor. Tell me which two you’ve gone with 👇

Katie thought proper sustainable weight loss was impossible for her..

She’d always relied on cutting carbs, shakes or other misery.

It never lasted.

What Katie NEVER had access to was this…

👉 Flexible, progressive training she could do from home.

👉 Education on nutrition, so it became less daunting.

👉 Support + accountability when things got tough.

👉 Adaptations in her plan when life got in the way

👉 Guidance from world leading experts on gearing her mindset for success.

And now, after having access to that for 90 days, Katie is..

🔥 22lbs down

🔥 Stronger + fitter than she’s ever been

🔥 Completely clear on how to sustain it for good.

So if you’re wanting to look your best, feel amazing and understand how to sustain it this time without all the normal ‘fitness misery’ message me “INTERESTED” and let’s chat.

Lets be honest…

You don’t want to really want to JUST lose weight.

What you really want is:

⭐️ To run around with your kids without getting out of breath
⭐️ To wake up feeling refreshed and ready for the day.
⭐️ To put on any clothes you want without thinking twice.
⭐️ To travel + experience all lifes joys
⭐️ To be a great role model, so your kids grow up happy + healthy.
⭐️ To feel strong + capable.
⭐️ To be more productive and achieve more.
⭐️ To have the resilience to face whatever life throws your way.
⭐️ To create lasting memories with those you love.
⭐️ To love what you see in the mirror.
⭐️ To live a life full of adventure and excitement.
⭐️ To feel like the best version of yourself, inside and out.
⭐️ To feel at peace with your choices, not guilty.
⭐️ To find joy in movement, not dread.
⭐️ To have the freedom to live life on your own terms.
⭐️ To build a body that can keep up with your ambitions.
⭐️ To have the freedom to live life on your own terms.
⭐️ To feel comfortable in your own body, no matter the situation.
⭐️ To enjoy quality time with your family without feeling tired.
⭐️ To be the best version of yourself for the people you love.

That’s why you NEED to start..

🚀 Training properly, in a structured progressive program that gets you stronger, fitter and more robust.

🚀 Learning about nutrition and build a structure that lets you look + feel how you want, without eliminating the things you enjoy.

🚀 Building the habits you need to do the actions you need, regardless of what’s going on in your life.

Which is what we help you do in The Balanced Body, FYI, if you need help doing that 😉

Did I hit the nail on the head here?

One thing is guaranteed if you’re trying to lose weight and feel healthier…

… some weeks will go to sh*t.

Not one client over the last 12 years has had a completely smooth journey.

Work has gone nuts. Partners haven’t been as supportive as they should. Stresses have increased. Motivation has slipped.

100s of different trials.

The solution is always the same.

1/ Realign with your goals. Why do you actually want to do this?

2/ Scale back, don’t slack. What’s the most doable version of this feel like?

3/ Reprioritise. What’s the biggest things you need to focus on to keep that sense of control.

Then, when the situation has gone away..

4/ Rebuild. Ramp things back up to the ideal plan.

That way you can stay consistent, for a longer period of time and actually get the results you want.

I went for a walk this morning with Neville (my beautiful big black Lab).⁣

Sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I was loving being out early, so I didn’t put a podcast on.⁣

I just let my brain wander.⁣

Twelve years of coaching. Somewhere north of 550 clients. Hundreds of plans written, thousands of check-ins, and more problems solved than I care to count.⁣

What struck me was how similar the people who got really good results - and stayed there - actually looked.⁣

Not similar bodies. Not similar schedules. On paper, they had very little in common: different ages, jobs, and starting points.⁣

But they all created the same small handful of behaviours, again and again.⁣

And none of them were world-changingly clever. That’s the annoying part.⁣

It was all things like:⁣
🌟 Front-loading protein at breakfast, so the evening looks after itself instead of turning into a mad “deep-throat some chicken” scramble at 7pm.⁣
🌟 A litre of water before the first coffee, because your brain has just gone eight hours without a drink.⁣
🌟 Weekends that look vaguely like the rest of the week (you know as well as I do that nothing works properly if Friday to Sunday falls off a cliff).⁣
🌟 Getting slightly stronger than last month, deliberately. Not suddenly becoming a hero. Just slightly, strategically better.⁣

That’s the pattern. That’s what a decade of watching people up close actually taught me.⁣

So I sat down and wrote out every lesson I’d keep from those twelve years, and recorded the lot in one go.⁣

It’s about half an hour. I promised twenty minutes and went well over, which probably tells you something about how much there was.⁣

Comment “lessons” down below and I’ll fire it over 👊

13/08/2026

90 days from today is the 11th of November.⁣

Dark by five, Christmas nights out starting to land in the diary, and you either in a body you feel good in or telling yourself January is a better time to start.⁣

Amy last year started our August kickstart just wanting to lose a few lbs but it felt impossible & hugely complicated.. ⁣

By Christmas she was 11kg down feeling fantastic in her Christmas finery.⁣

By focusing on just these Five things. That’s it.⁣

1. Front load your protein.⁣

Breakfast is where most people lose the day. Get a third to a half of your daily target in before 10am and the rest of the day basically looks after itself. Eggs, Greek yoghurt, whey… whatever you’ll actually eat 200 days a year.⁣

2. Lift weights 3-4x a week (with a plan)⁣

Not the same dumbbells, same reps, same spot by the mirror, week after week. If you squatted 30kg for 8 last week, this week it’s 30kg for 9. Progression is just doing slightly more than the version of you from last Tuesday.⁣

3. Drink some goddamn water.⁣
You cannot run on coffee, which is a genuine shame. 2-3L a day, a bit more if you’re training or it’s warm. Half the people telling me they’re knackered at 3pm are just thirsty.⁣

4. Move dat ass.⁣
Walking is the lowest barrier thing you own. No kit, no gym, no getting changed (put some clothes on though, I take no responsibility for getting picked up by the police for nudity). Just get out the door. If you need to, stack it with something else so it doesn’t feel like another thing on your to-do list.⁣

5. Go. To. bed.⁣

Stop the doom scrolling at 11pm. Read a book, have a little tumble in the sheets, then actually sleep. You’ll feel infinitely better and you’ll stop needing tip 3 quite so badly.⁣

Repeat that for 12 weeks and you won’t recognise yourself.⁣

And if repeating is the bit you can’t do on your own, that’s not a character flaw, you’re not a terrible person because you can’t stay consistent. That’s just what accountability is for.⁣

P.S. Starting Monday, the final 14 Day Kickstart of the summer. Two weeks with everything taken care of, s

£18,000 for coaching.

Eighteen-Thousand-Good-English-Goddamn-Pounds.

That’s what a new client told me she’d been quoted by a coach she worked with before.

And look, before anyone thinks this is a cheap shot at ultra-expensive coaches, it’s absolutely not.

I think coaching should cost proper money.

I’ve spent over ten years honing my craft, and a small fortune on my own coaches, mentors and consultants along the way (Charlotte has seen me in a cold sweat almost having a panic attack after paying for some, she can confirm).

Good coaching is an investment. No argument from me.

But £18k... 😱

Here’s what some coaches have worked out. If you charge the absolute maximum up front, people feel so invested they’ll comply with anything through gritted teeth.

Sunk cost doing the heavy lifting instead of actual coaching.

The problem? Compliance isn’t the same as change.

The moment the contract ends, so do the results, because nobody taught you how to actually live it day-to-day.

That client’s exact words about working with us instead?

“This is so so much better for me. There is so much more support.”

And that support is why, on average, people stay with The Balanced Body for 14.3 months.

That’s not a contract length. Nobody’s tied in that long.

That’s just how long people choose to stick around when the accountability works, the community has their back, and the coaching is built around their actual life rather than a template.

They stay because it works, then they leave knowing how to keep it. That’s the whole point.

If you’ve been burned by a big price tag with not much behind it, I get it, and I’m here when you’re ready.
