A quick ditty with Ken Mkengala of HIMACUL (the highlands macadamia cooperative union ltd)

In order to effect change in the way want to, it starts with the seed (or in our case, nut). This is a quick look in to one of the tree nurseries that HIMACUL manages, supported by , which prepares young trees so they're available for smallholder cooperative farmers. Without nurseries like this, macadamia trees wouldn't be accessible to the of types farmers we work with.

By buying Nutcellars Malawi Macadamias - you're not putting trees in the ground - but you're buying into the system and the collective work that makes this kind of activity possible, and we thank you for it!

Anyway, this was just a quick edit, but hope you liked it. Big thanks as always to Ken for showing us around!

Happy National Macadamia Day. 🌱

The last of the sunshine, a table full of people, and a bowl of macadamias in the middle of it. That’s the whole idea.

Our 45g snack bags are in Central Co-op stores right now, with an offer running for the week - perfect for the final picnic of the summer, the one you keep meaning to organise before the weather turns.

Buttery, satisfying and quietly good for you. And every bag supports smallholder macadamia cooperatives in Malawi. That’s the reason we do this.

Grab a bag in store, or order online at nutcellars.com 🌰

The final piece: chocolate, macadamias, and a little dusk over Mount Mulanje 🏔️🇲🇼

Five illustrations, fifteen posts, and one grid built to bring a little more of Malawi into view - not as a backdrop, but as the place, people and partnerships at the heart of every pack.

Thank you for following along, swiping through, and welcoming in the new Nutcellars.

Now scroll back and see the whole picture assembled.

The relaunch may be complete, but there’s plenty more worth writing home about. See you at nutcellars.com.

Breakfast, but make it dangerously good.

Granola. Milk. Banana. A generous drizzle of Chocadamia, our smooth chocolate macadamia spread.

It’s rich, chocolatey, and made with macadamias that bring their naturally occurring healthy fats and antioxidants along for the ride.

Plus, it's only 3 ingredients (macadamias, cocoa powder, and date sugar)

A weekday breakfast with weekend energy.

First, the crunch, and then the chocolate...

Our Chocolate Coated macadamias pair creamy nuts with a smooth chocolate shell - the sort of thing that disappears quietly while you’re supposedly saving some for later 👀

This pack looks towards Mount Mulanje at dusk: deep browns, soft cream, purple skies, and an unmistakable alpine silhouette 🏔️

The new packs are deliberately easy to read: Nutcellars first, then the product, then the flavour. Because when the chocolate macadamias are calling, nobody needs to be asked twice!

A cinnamon caramelised macadamia has no business being this moreish.

Warm spice, a buttery crunch and a finish that turns “just one” into a "ok just one more!"

Our relationship with Malawi goes back four generations, but that story belongs to more than one family. It’s shared with the women and men growing macadamias across the country, including female farmers whose knowledge and continuity are central to farming life.

That’s why partnership matters more to us than a neat origin story.

From Malawi, with a little extra spice.

Coffee, meet your 10am companion.

Crunchy macadamias, a cinnamon caramel finish, and just enough sweetness to make the first proper pause of the day feel like a small event.

Macadamias also bring naturally occurring healthy fats, antioxidants and vitamins to the table. Not that you’ll be thinking about that halfway through the bag.

Best served beside a strong coffee. Or straight from the cupboard, we’re flexible!

Sweet, spiced, and just sticky enough.

Our Cinnamon Caramelised macadamias start crunchy and creamy, then get a warm cinnamon caramel coat. Coffee’s new favourite sidekick.

The Soil Red on this pack comes from a Malawian afternoon: dusty roads, Brachystegia trees, and the kind of heat that makes spice feel like the obvious choice.

Look closely and you’ll spot our Climate Smart Roundel, built from three circles. It reflects ongoing carbon, agroforestry and tree-planting work delivered by the Neno Macadamia Trust, the registered charity supported through every Nutcellars purchase.

A little sweetness with some substance behind it.

Golden hour, Lake Malawi.

This is the view behind our Cold Pressed Nut Oil imagery - still water, a distant mountain range, the kind of light that makes you want to slow down.

It's not just a pretty picture. Cold-pressing is a slow process too - no heat, no shortcuts, just macadamias pressed gently to keep the flavour, and the good fats, intact.

Every pack is a small window into Malawi: the postcards, the stamps, the handwritten-style type - our way of bringing a little of that calm home with you.

Bring the Lake home.

Good bread. A generous glug of macadamia oil. A little balsamic. That's it - that's the whole recipe.

Our Cold Pressed Macadamia Nut Oil is made the same way our macadamias always have been: slowly, carefully, and traded fairly with the farmers who grow them through HIMACUL, Malawi's union of macadamia co-operatives.

Simple moments, done properly. Try it this weekend.
