Mizu Aikido Welcome to the Mizu Aikido page. Mizu Aikido trains in Northallerton, North Yorkshire. The principle Instructor is Sensei Stephen Bird 4th Dan.

Mizu Aikido meet on a Monday and Thursday evenings. Juniors start at 18:00 till 19:15. The adult class run from 19:15 till 20:45. Aikido means Harmony Spirit Way and is a non competitive martial art relying on technique rather than strength for its effectiveness. Mizu means Water:
If your opponent strikes with fire counter with water becoming completely fluid and free flowing. Water by its nature

never collides with or breaks against anything. On the contrary it swallows up any attack harmlessly.
