Bedale Cricket Club Bedale Cricket Club run two senior Saturday sides four junior sides providing a safe and fun environment for anyone wanting be involved in the game.

Bedale Cricket Club is based in the North Yorkshire Market Town of Bedale. Our Saturday Senior Teams play in the North Yorkshire & South Durham League. We run a Wednesday night team in the Wensleydale Evening League. We run a thriving junior section with teams from Under 9 to Under 15 level playing in the Hambleton Junior Cricket League. We run both All Stars & Dynamos cricket for boys and girls a

ged 5+ during the summer months. We have a ladies soft ball team who play in the Hambleton Ladies Soft Ball League. Our aim is to provide a safe and friendly environment for people of all ages to discover, develop and enjoy cricket to the level at which they individually aspire.

The ladies were also in action yesterday against Newton-Le-Willows CC. After winning the toss, we chose to field first, and with some brilliant bowling and sharp fielding, we held Newton to 255. Big shout‑out to Evie, Angela and Ellie for taking wickets, and to our newest team mate Heather J, who put in a class performance only going for 5 runs off 3 her overs - Top work, ladies 👌

Out we went to bat knowing we didn’t need to do anything daft. We built the innings steadily and pushed our way to a winning score of 344. Well done to our top scorers Ruth and Ellie - its always great to see you sending the ball to the boundary 💪

This week’s MOG went to Evie for only going and taking a hat‑trick in her second over 🎉🎉

Yesterday our U13 girls went to their first NYSD Premier Cricket League festival at Billingham CC. Winning 2 games out of the 3 they played there was loads of great cricket and even more giggles.

The girls are an asset to our club and we love their endless energy, enthusiasm & commitment 🧡

Yesterday the ladies travelled to Thornton Watlass for our second league game of the season. We were put into the field first and showed off some brilliant bowling and fielding throughout the innings. Huge well done to Ellie, Heather H, Emma and Heather J for taking wickets, and along with a couple of great catches and some strong work on the boundary we managed to the score down👍

Then it was our turn to bat. We knew that if we stayed sensible, we could chase down their total — and with some steady batting and only two wickets lost, we brought home the win. Special mention to Emma, top‑scoring with 16 👌

This week’s MoG went to Heather H for her two wickets, sensible runs and absolutely flying around the boundary. Cracking effort 👏
