Sometimes customers bring items and I just have to take a step back in ore and absorb what’s on the workbench.
Military items from the first and second world wars. Wow, it was a privilege to restore the stitching that had given way over the decades.
Truly historic items.

It was a flash noseband, now it’s just a cavesson noseband.
If you see a new bridle you like that has a flash noseband and you don’t need the flash, they can easily be removed to leave you with the cavesson 👍

I really enjoy it when you can make a saddle look as good as new again. Recovering the calf blocks on this Prestige mono flap saddle has made a huge difference to its appearance. I’ve used a slight thicker leather to provide more longevity (6 month old saddle). It’s difficult to avoid damage to the calf blocks as they are doing their job securing the lower leg. 👍

Accidents do happen 💁‍♀️
However, more often than not saddles can be repaired (the tree was unaffected and the accident details were shared with me).
The brief was to make the saddle tidy, safe and usable.
I reconstructed the pommel padding and added leather sections to replace/cover the damaged areas, and lots of stitching in awkward places, the saddle was good to go.
A tricky one!

Exelby Cloverbelle, my 12 year old show jumper.
I created her bridle almost 8 years ago. I was determined to ensure she had a bridle that sat back from her eyes, smooth behind her ears and TMJ, had a secure throatlash to help when she needs to wear her ear bonnet all whilst maintaining independent nose and cheekpiece attachment.
The later addition being the double ring martingale.
Since then I have been able to help many other horses with their bridle comfort.
