Caxton 🇳🇬 2-2 Fakenham town res 👻

What a day for the club a first game in senior football. In a very competitive first half with both sides creating chances the teams went in 0-0 at half time.
The second half is where the goals ⚽️ came along with the downpour of rain ☔️. Fakenham taking lead after a deep free kick in the box hit a Caxton player and went straight across the goal mouth for the fakenham defender to volley home. Then came the turn around with Bryn 🐻 firing in quick fire double, the first a deep free kick of our own was brought down by Bryn in the Fakenham box and side footed into the bottom corner, his second springing the offside trap and slamming home from the edge of area to make it 2-1.
As the clock ran down and Caxton putting bodies on the line to protect the lead a lapse in concentration saw the Fakenham winger run onto a through ball and a slot past selfie with a tidy finish. A Bryn rocket with the last kick of the kick of the game nearly stole the points for Caxton.

What a game for the neutral the lads can be extremely proud of their performance everyone giving everything. After a massive pre season of change at the club the performance is even more special. with a lot of youth in the team and the experienced lads not even at their peak footballing years the future looks very bright 🇳🇬

A tough day at office for the ressies who will learn a lot from days like this. The new management team have been working wonders to build a team and as soon the squad gels the future is bright for them aswel.

Training is Tuesday 630pm down the ground. New faces always welcome 🇳🇬🇳🇬

Beccles Caxton Reserves start their campaign
In Anglian Combination Division 4 South tomorrow with an away fixture against Belton FC.

Sure to be a tough game.

Get over and support the boys, 14:15 kick off at New Road Sports and Leisure Centre.

Update on theft..

Working party this morning discovered that after going to carry on with new youth section pitch fencing all the clips and bolts for panels have also been pinched. Probably taken to be weighed in as scrap? These alone cost over £400. As a small club this is another blow to our ambition to create an area for our youngest players. Any info would be appreciated 🇳🇬

Unfortunately we were broken into last night at the football ground. Locks ground off, damage to shed and T Hut. Ride on mover, petrol push mower and trimmers taken. Wiped out all the stock in the T Hut as well.
People put in so much time and effort to run a football club and work hard doing it, just for some scumbag to think they can take and ruin it.
Have added a picture of the stolen ride on mower.
