Woodchurch Swimming Club

Woodchurch Swimming Club Woodchurch Swimming Club, which trains at Leasowe and Oval Leisure Centres, and Calday Swimming Pool, is entirely run by volunteers.

We are a friendly and inclusive Club, supporting children to further develop swimming technique, stamina, and confidence. Our Sessions & Venues (Updated September 2022)

Saturday (Main Session)
Oval Pool 4:00 pm – 6:30PM
- Less able swimmers Saturday 4:00-5:30PM
- More able, club swimmers Saturday 4.45/5:00-6:30PM

Calday Pool 6:00PM - 7:30PM
4 Lanes for club & coaching swimmers

One session for Club Swimmers Only. Wednesday

And we are nearly there! It's our Summer Champs 🏆 😎 Gala tomorrow and the medals have arrived!

We are very much looking forward to a fun afternoon and evening of swimming 🏊‍♀️ events 💜

We are so proud of all our swimmers 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️ at Woodchurch Swimming Club who took part in yesterday's Peninsular Development Gala alongside Hoylake, Bebington, and Ellesmere Port Swimming Clubs.

We came along sensational 2nd place just behind Bebington!👏

We are now very much looking forward to our 🌞 Summer Champs Gala next weekend, where all swimmers 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️ were invited to take part in the fun, inclusive event!

Thank you again to all the coaches and volunteers for their support yesterday 🙏 💜 and to the carers and parents who brought swimmers to the event and supported us throughout 😀

Good evening parents, carers, and swimmers at Woodchurch Swimming Club!

Just a reminder that there are just a few days remaining for you to sign up for our exciting Summer Champs Gala. This will be very similar to our Christmas Gala however we have also invited Neston Swimming Club and Helen Diamond Swimming. This is very much an event for all ages and provides a great opportunity to enjoy competitive swimming in a friendly, supportive environment. This is a particularly great opportunity for newer or younger swimmers who have never been in a gala environment 💜💜💜💜

We’re excited to announce the introduction of two new Swim Club Captain roles, where they will help assist and mentor our junior squad, supporting and inspiring the next generation of swimmers!

A huge congratulations to Suzie and Will on stepping into these positions. Both have been dedicated members of the club for over five years, starting as juniors and progressing through with commitment, enthusiasm, and team spirit. You may have seen them both assisting junior training sessions on Fridays and Saturdays, along with some of our other senior swimmers.

Today, we celebrated their achievement with a well-deserved “celebration splash” – a fun and fitting way to mark the occasion!
We’re incredibly proud of you both and look forward to seeing you inspire the junior squad.💜
