Wow! How does this little basketball club keep producing such good players? Patrick started with us in year six and played for us first in Basketball North West Regional League under-12s. After moving to Cheshire Phoenix Junior Basketball Club for National League competition, he continued to represent us in North Wales Basketball Association under-14s and under-16s, culminating in our Basketball Wales Terry Price Cup win in 2025.

Yesterday, at the end of year ten, he was a member of the North under-15 team that won the Basketball England Aspire Super Region tournament in Manchester.

We can still claim Patrick as ours, as he played once for us in 2025-26, and he's a regular ref at our games, including this afternoon's friendly for our 2026-27 under-16s Regional League squad.

Patrick is an Eastham lad (where our traditional home of South Wirral High School is), although he's still further away from "southey" than Aaron Thomas Catling Rob Smith and Beth Taylor were when they became Welsh internationals.

Belated congratulations to the Seniors on winning the North Wales Basketball Association plate over the weekend. Jay, Mikey & Curtis started with us as teenagers, which makes us very proud. (Edit: Mikey started with us when he was in primary school!)

Under-11s on tour! And we mean next year's group (only one year 6. We were even told one of today's team was too young for u11s next season, boooo!)

It may be off-season for some, so we lost a couple of players to cricket, but we just went up to Manchester for Basketball North West May Madness and beat ALL our local rivals.

Several are then off to the North Wales Basketball Association under-12s Trophy Day tomorrow.
