Abraxas... what does it mean?..
We all cast a shadow, a darker side of self that shows face when we are overwhelmed, hurt, triggered or consumed by fear....
Strength training presents the possibility of failure, win or lose, fight or surrender, participate or compete ... we get to decide how hard we push, to give up or overcome. We need the losses to appreciate the wins.. we learn to understand what is out with our control and we find a direction of focus towards our goals..❤️
We push beyond comfort zones, face failure and come back with new strategies...we grow in mental toughness and we can learn to approach all aspects of life with a new perspective, developing a deeper understand of self in a life long journey of healing ...❤️
We demand growth of our psyche when we make space to learn about the dualities of our nature, and how our lifelong conditioning affects and reflects our behaviours...we become resilient in nature ❤️
Abraxas is the ancient god who symbolises the polarities of lightness, of darkness and the opposites of all things. Training offers us many opportunities to meet our shadow and accept it as a part of us to heal or transform..
That could be as simple as building the confidence to step foot in a gym or competing alongside the elite! We just have to start where we are❤️
“Abracadabra”..Create your own magic...❤️
