Congratulations to Joe Lyons on his win today at Castlerock Golf Club! We watched the last 7 holes and the quality of golf from the final 3 ball was exceptional!

David Mulholland took it all the way to the last putt, finishing -7 for the tournament!

It was fantastic to welcome such a high quality field to the club, and to see how the best in the country (& further afield) could stand up to the test!

Castlerock Golf Club legend David Mulholland maintains his fine run of form and moves to the top of the leaderboard yesterday. Despite a lost ball on 17 he shot a fine 2 under par to ascend to the top of the leaderboard!
David gets underway at 1140 today, why not come down and give him some support.

In the 65-69 age category another member, Alan Lilley,sits in second place after a fantastic 3 under round yesterday. He sits 2 back of the lead

If someone had said at the start of the week that an English golfer would pick up the Wanamaker Trophy last night, Aaron Rai's name would most likley have been their first guess! With Fleetwod, Hatton, Rose all in the field we would surely have been unsurprised if one of those had ended the English hoodoo.

What Rai did last night was remarkable, but what makes it all the more impressive is that he does it his way. Wearing 2 gloves, using iron covers, Rai comes from a background where he va;ues his possessions, which is a refreshing attitude in todays disposable society.

Whilst he might not have been the first name on the medias lips for potentital winners, one thing is for certain; we are about to hear a whole lot more of him!

Congratulations Aaron, on a thoroughly deserved victory!

He’s only gone and won it! David Mulholland wins the Leinster Senior Men’s Open Championship!

Some heard work over the winter in the studio at Castlerock Golf Club, refining his technique, has the Club Stalwart off to a great start this season!

In less than 2 weeks David will be taking part in the Irish Seniors Amateur Championship at his home course here at the Rock! 🤞 fro a repeat performance!
