The Royal Ballet School Diploma of Dance Teaching ✔️

The past two years have been the most challenging, rewarding and transformative of my career to date. I feel very privileged to have spent every week in these inspirational studios learning from the most generous tutors and mentors led by the wonderful Sarah Daultry. I have soaked up every nugget of her wisdom!

This course has been no mean feat. It has been all consuming but absolutely worth it. Teaching is not just what you show. It’s what people understand, experience and become around you. It can truly change lives. This is why the arts can be so powerful and the reason I am so passionate about my work.

I’ve been lucky enough to share this experience with a very special group of supportive, dedicated and like-minded professionals. The future of ballet is in safe hands 🌟

And finally, the cherry on top of the cake - I am incredibly proud to be joining the London Associate team as a Mid Associate teacher from September 2026. Turns out this is only just the beginning! 🩰

The end of another term means a fond farewell to my brilliant adult dancers who I’ve had the pleasure of working with over the past two years 🩰

It never ceases to amaze me how many wonderful people I am lucky enough to meet through our shared passion and love for ballet. Every class has been filled with a desire to learn, laughter and joy!

I’m looking forward to returning in the future with some exciting workshops and intensives. Watch this space!

I feel so privileged to have spent the past month on a teaching placement with the Junior Associates and under the brilliant mentorship of Victoria Collinson - who I last worked with as a student over 15 years ago!

These young dancers work incredibly hard and exude so much joy and artistry in their classes. It’s been an invaluable opportunity to develop my teaching practice and I’ve learnt so much from them. They’ve left me feeling very inspired! 🩰

Today we celebrate the history, companies, students, adult dancers, little ballerinas, musicians, educators, supporters, audiences and everyone who shares the joy of dance. I feel so lucky to be immersed in the most beautiful art form every day. I’m grateful for the opportunities ballet has given me and the way it continues to enrich my life ✨

Another course is over and another year at comes to an end. These students bring me so much joy week after week, their enthusiasm and spirit is infectious!

I’m delighted to be teaching a new class on the timetable from September. Spaces fill up fast so book via City Lit’s website sooner rather than later if you’d like to join us at the barre every Tuesday 🩰

And that’s a wrap on year 1 of the Royal Ballet School Diploma of Dance Teaching! 🩰✔️

It certainly hasn’t been easy and pushed me right out of my comfort zone at times but I’ve loved every minute and couldn’t have asked for a better group of professionals to work alongside. Time for a rest and then bring on year 2!
