Playball is a multi sports programme teaching all the main ball sports (tennis, football, cricket, rugby, hockey, basketball, baseball) in very small age-specific classes for 2-7 year olds. Our programmes are age specific and the curriculums follow a progressive
pathway from the basic building blocks of jumping, throwing, rolling,
hitting, catching, kicking, to learning a variety of sports skills,
to
having fun with mini games of tennis, hockey, cricket, rugby, football,
basketball, baseball, volleyball and much much more! Our action-packed lessons will immerse your children in fun,
age-appropriate, high quality games and activities, ensuring that they have
a positive experience with us and enjoy every minute of being physically
active! Playball children engage in activities which promote a positive self image,
encourage persistence and strengthen the desire to want to challenge
oneself. The continuous scientific study behind Playball shows that the type of
activities the children take part in accelerate the neural pathway
development between the brain and the body. This has a marked impact on how children will perform cognitively as well as physically at school. What
better reason to get active! Emma has over 6 years of coaching experience having had a previous career as a lawyer in the city. She moved to Beaconsfield in 2010 and knows Playball well as her children (now aged 8 and 11) followed the Playball programme. She was so impressed by the content that has decided to coach in Beaconsfield and nearby areas and then purchased the franchise at the start of 2020. OUR COACHING PRINCIPLES
The Playball programme is an international programme that was established over 27 years ago to teach children the fundamental base ball skills of throwing, catching, hitting, kicking, bouncing and dribbling. Coaching the Playball programs is taken very seriously and all of our coaches have extensive training in the following methodology:
Principe 1 – Our lesson material for each lesson is always prepared in advance. Principle 2 – We always look the part befitting a sports coach. Principle 3 – Our lessons are always organised. Principle 4 – We always teach positively. Principle 5 – We always teach creatively, ensuring that the lessons are fun. Principle 6 – We are always patient and tolerant with the children. Principle 7 – We always teach with energy. Principle 8 – We always use the Playball Coaching System when teaching a class. Principle 9 – We always keep the children engaged and challenged through the “Maximum Activity Levels” . Principle 10 – We never teach more than the prescribed number of children for each age group
