Due to the ongoing dry weather and proximity of livestock to the lakes, unfortunately we have to prohibit the use of open flame stoves and smoking on site until further notice.

Fishing still slow on New Lake but Charlie Cornford managed to land a few on Friday evening. Commons at 18 and 29.2 plus the cat at 18.5!

OLD LAKE CLOSED SATURDAY 11th & SUNDAY 12th JULY
Following on from the problems caused by an ammonia spike on Old Lake yesterday, we have treated the water and the issue seems to be resolved. In the best interests of the fish we have decided to close the lake for the weekend to enable them to recover. All being well the lake will be open as normal on Monday.

Unfortunately due to a water quality issue Old Lake will be closed today (Thursday) and tomorrow. All being well it will be open again for fishing on Saturday.
Also New Lake will be closed from midday on Sunday 12th July for a private function.

Another slow weekend on New Lake but it switched on for a short while Sunday evening. Lee Murphy landed this stunning 28lb mirror, Dan caught a 29lb common followed by Benji with an 18lb common.

Great start to the season for Spike Wilkinson today landing this stunning scale perfect 31lb common. Luckily I was on hand to witness the fish and check the weight!

Lakes reopen tomorrow 16th June. The carp do not appear to have spawned yet so take extra care with any fish caught. Return them to the water as quickly as possible.

Don’t forget, the lakes are now closed for fishing. We reopen June 16th.
