Moor Hall Lakes Three lake coarse fishery. Located in the stunning East Sussex countryside. Day tickets £10 (two rods). Lakes closed from 1st May to 15th June each year.

The Lakes. New Lake: Common and Mirror carp to 26lb. Tench to 5lb, Perch to 3.5lb, Roach, Rudd and Gudgeon. Also 1 pike (5lb) and 1 grass carp (4lb)! Old Lake: Common and Mirror carp to 22lb (high stock of single figure carp). Tench to 5lb, Perch to 4lb 12oz, roach and rudd 2lb+. Silver Lake: No Carp! Good stock of tench, perch, roach and rudd.

Lakes reopen tomorrow 16th June. The carp do not appear to have spawned yet so take extra care with any fish caught. Return them to the water as quickly as possible.

Don’t forget, the lakes are now closed for fishing. We reopen June 16th.

It’s been another slow week on New Lake, very quiet during the day although shoals of fish cruising the surface in the sunshine. Best results have been early evening with Benji landing two mirror’s Wednesday evening, 14 and 24 lb, both on zigs. Persistence paid off for Charlie Cornford on Thursday, having started fishing at 6.00 am he landed a 26.5 mirror at 5.00pm followed by a 22lb common at 6.00 pm, both from the shallows.
