The U7 Tigers had their presentation this weekend. An opportunity to celebrate the success these young players have had in their first season as a footballer. They have come so far in such a short space of time and should be extremely proud of themselves. Well done everyone.
Ryan's POTS: Alfie Wright!
Or as he's better known: The man, the myth, the bulldog!
Alfie is an amazing little kid and has been absolutely outstanding all season. Fearless doesn't even begin to describe him. He's involved in everything, always driving forward, chasing every ball, and somehow shoulder barging kids twice his size and coming out smiling!
What I love most about Alfie is that smile. Whether he's on the football pitch giving everything for the team, or whether he bumps into me outside of football, he's always got a grin on his face.
Scott's POTS: Isaac Sharp! I feel this is fully deserved for the outstanding impact
he has had. It takes real bottle and guts to want to be a goalkeeper, and it can often be a lonely place, something I understand personally having a daughter who also plays in goal.
There are games where Isaac has been absolutely peppered with shots and, like any keeper,
has conceded goals that might knock othersโ confidence, but he never lets it affect him. He
simply picks himself up, dusts himself down, and gets on with the job, he has genuinely won us matches with his saves and presence.
Parents POTS: Arthur Wood! Arthur has had an incredible season and has been an absolute rock in defence. Reliable, determined, and always ready to put his body on the Line for the team, he's someone you can always count on.
Off the pitch, he's a proper cheeky chappy who keeps everyone smiling, but when it's time to play, he gives 100% in everything he does. Every tackle, every run, every training session - Arthur always puts in maximum effort.
This award is voted for by the parents, and it's easy to see why they've chosen him. His attitude, commitment, and fantastic season have made him a favourite with everyone.
Well done, Arthur. Keep working hard and keep being the brilliant teammate you are!!
