Our featured stroke is Backcrawl 💙
We'll be practising floating on our backs, improving body position, and developing strong, confident backcrawl technique in a fun and supportive environment.

I'd like to personally thank all of our customers for your incredible support, commitment, and patience throughout this period of uncertainty.
Thanks to the collective efforts of everyone who took the time to have their voices heard, Xcite has announced that the proposed locations have been paused. You can read their full statement below:

For now, we're staying put and remain committed to working alongside Xcite to continue growing and serving our customers. Thank you for standing with us every step of the way.

Following a period of consultation with local swimming clubs and independent providers, the pool relocation proposals planned for October have been paused.

Having listened carefully to the feedback received, we have decided not to proceed with the current proposals, and no provider will be required to relocate under them.

We will continue to work with Scottish Swimming-affiliated clubs and providers to explore alternative ways to make best use of the local pool facilities we manage and support sustainable swimming provision across West Lothian.

Step right up, swimmers! 🤩 This week, our pool is turning into the BIG TOP, and we’re ready for a week full of fun, challenges, splashes and plenty of circus magic! 🎪✨

🤹 Stroke of the Week: FRONTCRAWL! 🤹

Our swimmers will be working on their frontcrawl technique, building strong strokes, improving body position and learning to swim with confidence — all while having a circus-sized amount of fun! 🏊‍♀️💦

🎒 Back to School Fun Week! 🏊‍♀️💦

We’re making the most of the last bit of summer with a week of FUN in the pool! 🎉

We’ve got the inflatables out, games ready and plenty of splashing, laughing and playing planned! 🛝🌊

Before we jump back into our normal programme, we’re giving our swimmers one last chance to let loose and enjoy some pool time with their friends! 💙

🌟 Assessment weeks are here! 🌟

Over the next two weeks, we’ll be celebrating everything our swimmers have achieved throughout this block.

Our teachers will be assessing each swimmer’s progress and recognising their achievements. Depending on where they are in their swimming journey, this could mean earning a stage certificate, achieving a distance award, or receiving one of our star awards for their hard work and determination. 🏅✨

Every swimmer progresses at their own pace, and we’re proud of every milestone—whether that’s swimming a little further, mastering a new skill, or building confidence in the water.

We can’t wait to celebrate all of the fantastic progress our swimmers have made. Good luck to everyone over the next two weeks! 💙🏊

🏅 Week 9: Sports ⚽🏀🎾

This week we’re bringing the excitement of sports into the pool! Swimmers will be practising all of their strokes through fun, sport-inspired activities before putting their skills to the test in our action-packed obstacle course.

We can’t wait to see everyone take on the challenge and have lots of fun along the way! 💙
