After a busy few months of coaching and working on my own golf, it was nice to get a result today with my experienced partner at the PGA Fourball event at . Thanks to both the .scotland.tournament.news for putting on the event and for hosting us. The course was in tremendous condition considering the recent weather.

Some nice before and afters with yesterday.

Neil was struggling with a slice and the occasional big pull left. A couple of tweaks to set up, more connection at the top of the swing and a shallower swing plane lead to a much more consistent ball flight and a nice jump in distance.

Charlie was struggling with missing shots both left and right with his irons and struggling to strike it consistently.

A better set up position allowed him to keep the club on plane and the reduction of slide and addition of rotation on the downswing allowed us to neutralise his swing path and shallow his angle of attack improving his accuracy and strike.

Introducing Me

My name is Ross Callan and I’m a PGA Professional and have completed a 3 year training course to become a PGA member. Through this course I have received a DipHE in Professional Golf and an ASQ level 2 certificate in golf coaching.

I have been the assistant professional at Bathgate Golf Club for 3 years now and have been competing professionally in PGA Scotland events and on the Tartan Pro Tour.

I am also now coaching at Xcite Bathgate using their Trackman indoor golf simulator. This facility has allowed me to develop my coaching processes and post session services which will result in better coaching delivered to you.
