🔵 BLUES

A real game of two halves for the Blues on Sunday.

The first half showed a few tired legs after Gala Day — the boys found it tough to play out from the back, and some of the goals we conceded were just unfortunate moments. By half‑time, the boys knew they hadn’t shown their best.

Then came the response.
And what a response it was.

At the break we reminded them about moving the ball quicker, creating triangles, and trusting the football we’ve been working on in training. The second half was unbelievable. The boys took everything on board and played with energy, belief and bravery — fighting their way back with some fantastic goals and completely taking control of the game.

We limited the opposition to just one shot after the break, which Mason dealt with brilliantly. He also pulled off some outrageous saves in the first half that gave the boys the platform to turn things around.

The determination, the attitude, the togetherness — outstanding. The boys came off the pitch buzzing, and rightly so.

Huge thanks to Oliver and Connor for staying on to help after their own tough match, and to Andrew Flanagan for the support today.

⚫️ BLACKS /WHITES ⚪️

A Bathgate grey with a splash of red took on a strong Mid Calder side on Sunday — and despite a mixed squad, the boys were excellent from start to finish.

The passing and movement were brilliant throughout, with the boys linking up well and showing real confidence on the ball. Ethan opened the scoring with a composed finish, before Mid Calder levelled just before the break.

The second half was tight, but the boys kept playing, kept working, and kept showing quality. Goals from Oliver and Josh capped off a strong team performance full of effort and intelligence.

🏆 MOTM: Josh 🏆
Outstanding wherever he played — covered the pitch, supported teammates, read the game superbly and topped it off with a well‑taken goal. Could’ve gone to several boys today, but Josh edged it with a brilliant all‑round display.

Top effort from the whole squad this morning. ⚫️💪

Well done boys! Not only was it a fantastic day raising funds for the club, it also gave the boys from across all teams to bond and have a bit of fun as we crossed the bridge into sunny Fife and back again. Thanks to all the boys and all the parents who have participated not only on the walk today, but also during the fundraising over the past few weeks! ⚫️ Blacks

A tough shift for the Blacks today with only one sub, and every single boy was asked to dig deep. And they did — huge effort, huge work rate, huge character across the pitch.

Special shoutout to Noah Weir for stepping up and taking a turn in goals 👏
That’s what being part of this squad is all about.

🔵 Blues

The Blues showed massive character today. After a difficult first half, the boys came out after the break with serious intent — pressing high, winning battles and playing some brilliant football.

Finlay pulled one back with a great finish, and Callan capped off a strong week of high‑intensity pressing by getting himself on the scoresheet too. The boys pushed right to the end and created chances through sheer effort and belief.

Loads of positives. Loads to build on.
The attitude in that second half was outstanding 💙🤍

⚪️ Whites

A really composed and controlled performance from the Whites today against the same opponents as last week. The boys pressed brilliantly, won the ball back quickly and played some lovely, patient football throughout.

Charlie S grabbed two excellent finishes, Finlay added another, and the overall teamwork was superb — from back to front, every player contributed.

🔴 Reds

A fantastic display from the Reds this afternoon under captain Mackinlay. After a slightly rushed start, the boys settled, found their rhythm and produced some brilliant football — sharp passing, clever movement and some outstanding finishes.

With Adam away at a tennis competition, huge credit to Max and Luke for stepping up in goals. The Reds also used the second half to try players in new positions, giving everyone a chance to experience different roles across the pitch.

🔵 BLUES

The Blues played some brilliant football today — sharp in the first half, confident in possession and fully deserving of the goals from Max and Findlay. The boys moved the ball well, pressed with intent and showed real quality throughout.

After the break, we gave Whitburn a bit too much space, which allowed them to grow into the game, but Mason was outstanding in goals — brave, alert and producing some huge saves. Even the referee commented on how strong the overall performance was.

The boys just need to keep that intensity for the full match, because the football they’re playing is excellent.

Outstanding in midfield — worked tirelessly, demanded the ball and drove the team forward all game.

🔴 REDS

A really strong showing from the Reds this morning against Blackburn Utd Dynamo. After a slow first few minutes, the boys settled and started playing some fantastic football — crisp passing, slick one‑twos and some brilliant finishes.

The Reds lifted their levels further as the game went on and continued to play with real confidence and control. A top performance from start to finish.

⚪ WHITES

A brilliant game from the Whites today — proper end‑to‑end football with both teams giving absolutely everything.

There was a bit of everything:
• Penalties at both ends
• Huge penalty saves from both keepers
• An own goal
• Lovely passing sequences
• Strong defending
• Positive attacking play

Stanley grabbed two well‑taken goals, Charlie S added another, and the fourth came from an own goal after great pressure in the box.

🏆 Player of the Week: Ollie Muir 🏆
Ollie never stopped running — breaking lines, driving forward, supporting the striker and showing the same intensity he’s had all week in training. His work rate made a massive difference.

⚫ BLACKS

A real game of two halves for the Blacks. The first half was outstanding — the passing, movement and team play were superb, leading to some brilliant goals. One standout moment was a flowing team move finished by Ethan, who rounded the keeper and slotted home with real composure.

The second half took a little time to settle, but there were plenty of positives again. The boys have been excellent in recent weeks and their development is clear to see.

Superb in possession, two goals, an assist, and a peach curled straight into the top corner from a corner kick.

🔴 REDS

Another cracking game from the Reds tonight against a strong & talented Blackburn side. The pitch was heavy, the grass wasn’t doing anyone any favours, and the conditions made it a real battle — but the boys dug in and produced a brilliant end‑to‑end performance.

And let’s be honest…
Tonight belonged to one player.

Adam.
Our goalkeeper.
Our wall.
Our superhero in gloves.

Save after save after save — some of them outrageous — kept us right in the game. One stop in particular was unreal: ball smashed straight at his face, he takes it full force, bounces back up like nothing happened, and gets set for the next one.
That’s bravery. That’s commitment.

Absolutely immense tonight. Couldn’t have gone to anyone else.

⚫️ BLACKS

GOAL FEST ALERT.
The Blacks served up absolute chaos today — 14 goals, end‑to‑end madness, and pure entertainment from the first whistle to the last.

The football was class: slick passing, clever movement, and some brilliant finishes. Syngenta’s late surge made it look tight, but the Blacks were in control for most of it.

Massive thanks to Luke and Elliott for stepping in — both outstanding.

🏆 Player of the Week: Josh Boyle 🏆
Josh has been on fire for weeks — huge effort, huge communication, huge football brain. He ran the show today. Top class.

And a huge shoutout to Leon, who bagged his first ever goal for the Blacks! ⚽️☝🏼

⚪️ WHITES

A tough one for the Whites this morning — but the performance levels were fantastic.

East Calder launched everything into our box, but the Whites stuck to their football: passing, composure, bravery on the ball. The cutting edge just wasn’t there today, but the effort? Unreal.

The boys kept fighting. No heads dropped. No hiding. Just graft.
Sometimes football just doesn’t fall your way — but the attitude was spot on.

🏆 Player of the Week: Sam
Rock solid at the back. Big tackles, big moments, and some brilliant passes into midfield to get us moving. Proper defender’s performance. Well done Sam ⚪️⚪️

Heads up, Whites — performances like that turn into wins.

The Blues kicked off the weekend with a 10-goal thriller against Whitburn — pure chaos, pure entertainment, pure heart‑rate‑destroying football.

Goals flying in at both ends, huge tackles, big moments, and a team performance full of energy and belief.
Aleksander, Nathan, an OG, and a Finlay double had the sidelines buzzing.

Calm on the ball, smart in defence, always looking to play forward — and capped it with a brilliant goal. Outstanding all‑round display.
