COME JOIN OUR MINIS AND JUNIOURS 🏉

After a very successful season we’re excited to welcome new and returning players for another brilliant season of youth rugby, starting 6th September.

From Under 6s to Under 15s, Avonvale is a family‑orientated, community‑driven club where children of all abilities can learn, grow and have fun.

This summer we’ll be running various fun activities, perfect for trying rugby for the first time or getting back into the swing of things.

At Avonvale, we focus on:

Congratulations Martin 👏

🏉 A proud moment for the Somerset Rugby Referees Society (SRRS) as the Presidential Bowl was passed from Lawrence “Larry” Davies to Martin Bath following the Society’s AGM.

Having been elected by the members, Martin will officially take up the role of President at the start of the 2026/27 season. He becomes only the third SRRS President, following Mike Curling (2010–2019) and Larry Davies (2019–2026).

The Presidential Bowl is a unique piece of SRRS history, handcrafted and featuring an 1889 coin at its centre, commemorating the year the Society was founded.

We extend our sincere thanks to Larry for his dedication, leadership and service over the past seven years. As he passes on the Bowl, we congratulate Martin on his election and wish him every success as he prepares to lead SRRS into its next chapter.

We’re showing Bristol Bears vs Bath Rugby this Friday 29th May, KO 19:45 — live on the big screen at the club.

🍻 The bar opens from 7pm, with pints and singles with mixers just £5 (even cheaper for members). Perfect excuse to start the weekend early.
