Keeping your cool can be tough when you’ve bombed a drive down the middle and you proceed to put your wedge shot in the green side bunker.

There’s 18 holes in a round of golf and you’re bound to make some mistakes. The important thing is making sure one mistake doesn’t lead to another.

So when you’ve hit that wedge shot into the bunker. Give it your full attention and make sure you get it up and down for par!

One of the most common questions I get asked is what’s the point of a pre shot routine.

‘It takes too long’ or ‘I normally hit it worse’ is often mentioned.

The importance of a pre shot routine is paramount if you want to gain consistency. However, if you don’t do a consistent pre shot routine don’t expect a consistent outcome!

Make sure you practice your pre shot routine whenever you play or go to the range. It will help to slow you down and make you think about each individual shot.

Try it and stick to it. Progress comes slowly not instantly!
