I thought it was about time that I introduced myself and told you a bit about me and my fitness journey…
Mum of 2, I had always been pretty active, enjoying exercise classes and running but after being diagnosed with cancer in 2022 exercise and strength training became even more important for both my body and mind!
Following treatment I was super keen to get back to my normal routine, plus exercise could limit recurrence so I was determined to do everything I could. I knew I had limitations and adaptations to make but to be honest, I really struggled and found it very frustrating not knowing what I could and couldn’t do. Lacking confidence to attend classes I worked out at home, chipping away to gain back my strength and myself! It was at this point I decided to take back control...I realised what I wanted to do and decided to retrain as a PT. My goal eventually is to become a specialist Cancer Rehab Instructor - helping others who have been in a similar situation.
Along the way I’ve discovered I love strength training… training to feel strong, to limit injuries and to be in control of what I am capable of.
It feels so good to now be in a position where I can pass this on, to help others feel stronger and fitter and in control!
If I can help you, or you would like any further info let me know.
