PEMBROKE – Athletics department officials from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Monday morning that women's cross country's Sofia Skidmore and football's Tre Robinson have been named the Scotland Health Care System Braves of the Week for the week ending on October 5, 2025.

Classic Running had two athletes running the Berlin marathon on the weekend. Simon posted his first sub 3 with a time of 2:59:41, a 28 minute improvement. You can see by his smile he's pleased with that performance.
Paul had a very good run clocking 3:12:23 a 6 minute improvement on his London run earlier this year. With the temperature reaching 27 degrees that was a tough day out.

London marathon was a hot day out. 4 out of the 5 Classic Running athletes who competed managed to get a PB despite the heat.
Carmichael 2:43:59 (PB by 2'55" )
Leslie 2:51:37 (PB by 3'54")
Paul 3:18:51 (PB by 10'04")
Georgia 3:57:36 (First marathon, target sub 4)
James 2:51:27 just missed his PB by a couple of minutes.

Classic Running had 4 athletes in the Paddock Wood Half Marathon on the weekend and they produced 4 PB's. Pierre ran 76:59(PB by 4'45"), Tom 78:09(40"), Jamie 84:40(5'59"), Natalie 89:20(6'16"). Congratulations to all.

Great run by Leslie in the Seville marathon on the weekend. He posted a massive 28 minute PB clocking 2:55:31. A well deserved result after all the hard work he has put in.

Great day for Classic Running athletes.
Ian clocked 34:39 knocking 50 seconds off his 10k PB, following on from his 21 second PB over 5k the week before when he ran 16:39.
Carmichael ran his first marathon after starting running less than two years ago and finished with a 2:50:28.
Jamie smashed his toe on a rock 6 weeks before today's Rotterdam Marathon, couldn't wear his Vaporlys but still managed a 2 minute PB with 3:15:51.
Tom did a 5k race in Trinidad & Tobago. He finished 3rd and won enough money to keep him in sun tan lotion for the next 10 years.

A great weekend for Classic Running athletes. Ville (20:49) and Jamie (19:37) both posted PB's in their Park Run on Saturday. The following day Susie knocked 1min 45 off her best half marathon finishing with 1:21:51 and 2nd female at Bideford. Meanwhile in Rome Luca smashed his PB by 2min 48 to clock 1:18:36.
