Continuing the Cervelo S5 appreciation we thought we’d share these two additional images. For us owning a bike like this is not just how fast, light or stiff it is. That’s great but owning a bike is also an emotional choice. A bike might not make you minutes faster on your local loop because it’s actually faster but if you feel faster on it and that makes you feel better about yourself isn’t that a better result for those of us normal riders?

There’s a story of a man that owned a Lamborghini Diablo. Every morning he’d wake up and walk straight over to the window and open his curtains to look at his car. Hopefully he was fully clothed and didn’t have neighbours.. If we owned the S5 we’d put it on show somewhere and admire it when it wasn’t being ridden. RRP £9600, ex-demo £6500 51cm.
