Now I’ve not been training flow recently as my priorities have shifted. I’ll be getting straight back onto it when I start my MA in contemporary dance in September.
Below are some tips that you might find helpful:

1) Stop watching other people’s videos - you’re looking too much like them.

2)Watch more videos BUT with the intention of Inspiration not replication - big difference.

3) People are going to laugh when you start. Man, people are going to laugh when you’ve been doing it 20 years. That’s their issue. Not yours.

4) Get it wrong LOADS. Give your self permission to find new pathways that you’re not familiar with.

5) Film your training. Sadly, what feels good doesn’t necessarily look good. Show it to people and ask for feedback. Don’t get defensive if they don’t like it. Put your ego down and ask what they think might improve it. IF they’re simply going to criticise without any positive feedback Stone Cold Stun them.

6)Get a teacher and learn from them.

7) Give it time. In this Selfie/ i / social media generation we seem to demand stuff now. Right now! Chill your beans -go do a poo and know that this is a marathon, not a race.
