Bath Golf Club has a strong membership from all walks of life including several personalities from the worlds of sport and business. We are very proud of our Harry C**t designed golf course and we run a full calendar of competitions for men, ladies, seniors, juniors and mixed participation. We also have a large programme of inter club matches with involvement in competitive local leagues, knock ou

t events and friendly fixtures. We have excellent bar and catering facilities and run many social events where new members are made particularly welcome. There is something for everyone and new members are encouraged to participate at whatever level they choose. For those interested in taking up the game we have an Academy membership where members can receive group or individual lessons and have access to our practice facilities whilst they prepare for full membership.

Women's Club Champions 2026
Following on from the Men's competition, the Women's Championship was a close affair with many in contention going into Wednesday's Second round.

Our Women's Champion Golfer of the year is Kathryn Anthony, scoring a gross score of 177, a shot clear of Sam Robinson.

Mary Perkins won the Meek Salver for best nett score with a 7 under par total of 141.

The trophy presentation took place shortly after the final players had finished, with some delicious canapés prepared by Dan.

Men's Club Championship

Drives may be running a long way but the firm bouncy conditions combined with very strong winds made scoring very difficult over the Men's Championship weekend.

The President's Cup went to Tony Jones with net scores of 72 followed by a level par 71 on Sunday, which was just enough to win on countback from Tony Brewer who also had a 143 total with a 71 and 72. Andrew Cottle was third on 145. We are delighted to announce that the Men's Club Champion this year is Matthew Wordon, with a gross score of 153 (rounds of 74 and 79), two shots clear of runner-up Chris Knight and Wayne Lingard third, just a shot further back.

Bath Golf Club - Sandwedge Plate - 28 June 2026

Sixteen pairs competed for The Sandwedge Plate on Sunday 28 June at Bath Golf Club. The condition of the course and the conditions for playing were both excellent, as was the Competition dinner and Prizegiving ceremony.

It proved to be a very close finish!

The winners with 40 points were Laura and Tim Cutter, seen below receiving the Sandwedge Plate from Joint Captain, Jenny Conway. They were closely followed by Julie and Adrian Stenniong, also in 40 points on countback, with Mary Perkins and Paul Wait in third place on 39 points.

Two pairs completed a hole in just 2 strokes - Sara and Tom Deverell, on Hole 2 (par 4), and Rebecca Wood and Chris Brennan on Hole 14.

“Women's Spring Meeting
Another unseasonal day for the Spring Meeting, with registration moved inside, Mercedes needing a chamois leather and Captain Mike with umbrella in hand for the starting.
At least we dodged much of the rain that had been forecast and 50 players braved the tough conditions.

Collecting silverware at the prize giving tea were:

St George’s Mixed Greensomes Competition - Sunday 26 April

Ten Pairs competed for the St George’s Mixed Greensomes Competition on Sunday afternoon, in glorious weather.

Emerging victorious were Helen Oliver and Maurice Paterson, with 44 points, followed in second place by Suzannah Angelo-Sparling and Mark Daniels with 40 points.
Ann Henderson and Steve Ford were third with 36 points.
Only one couple completed a hole in two strokes - Laura and Tim Cutter on the 11th hole - and very nearly got a hole in one - see photo!

“Spring Mixed Greensomes Competition on Sunday 22 March

Twenty-six pairs competed for the Spring Mixed Greensomes Competition on Sunday afternoon in the first mixed Sunday competition of the season.

Emerging victorious were Mickey and Mark Edward’s with 41 points, ahead of Deborah and Gary McArdle in second place on countback with 41 points and Marion and David McBirnie in third place also on countback with 41 points.

Three couples scored a 2 on one hole - Carol England and Kim Swithinbank; Stephanie Moorfoot and Mark Moorfoot; Jenny Conway and Mike Frude.”

CAPTAINS RAISE £6,498 FOR CHILDREN’S HOSPICE SOUTH WEST

The donation cheque was presented at the Club’s Trophy Presentation evening on Friday 14th November.
