💎 OUR FUTURE COACHES | JUNIOR ASSISTANT PROGRAMME 💎

We are SO proud of our Junior Assistants and the progress they are making towards becoming the next generation of Obsidian coaches! 🖤✨

On 21st August, our JAs took another huge step in their coaching journey, completing a full day of practical training with BCQ as part of their Cheer Coach qualifications.

Their journey started last season with completing their Junior Assistant workbooks, gaining hands-on experience alongside our coaching team and learning what it really takes to coach and support our athletes.

Since then, they have ALL successfully passed their online exam — Stage 2 ✅ and are now so close to completing Stage 3 and becoming fully qualified! 🎓

The final step? 🎥 Our JAs will now be completing and submitting their final video assessments for qualification.

Watching these young people progress from athletes, to assistants, and now towards becoming qualified coaches is exactly what our JA programme is all about. Creating opportunities, developing leadership skills and investing in the future of Obsidian. 💎

A HUGE well done to every single one of you — we can’t wait to see some of you leading teams of your own in the future! 🥹🖤

Come along to get sized for your new cheer uniform or grab a bargain from our pre-loved kit!

📅 13th September — COACH FIRST AID TRAINING ⛑️
Our Obsidian coaching team will be completing their first aid training ready for the season ahead.

📅 27th September — COACH QUALIFICATION RENEWALS 🎓
Coaches Harriet & Mollie will be renewing their Levels 3–6 Cheer qualifications as we continue investing in our coaching and programme development.

We’re so excited to welcome Becky Mancini back to Obsidian Cheer & Dance for an exclusive day of workshops in Bath! 💥

Former Team England Hip Hop Manager, current Team England Jazz Choreographer, and a highly decorated choreographer across the UK & USA, Becky will be delivering two incredible sessions packed with technique, performance quality, musicality and choreography.
