We are just over 1 week away from our 2026 full academy show 'DANCING THROUGH LIFE', and our team are incredibly busy behind the scenes preparing for our technical rehearsal this Saturday.

Parents, please ensure you have read all communication from your child's class teacher and please do ask any questions if you are unsure about anything.

Members, please make sure you have all your costumes and accessories prepared for the rehearsal this Saturday. Everything needs to be named, on a hanger and in a costume carrier with your full name on it clearly displayed. And don't forget your tap/jazz shoes and trainers!

We are going to have a fantastic day on Saturday, as our full academy comes together for the very first time to share all your hard work ahead of our main performances next weekend.

We will see you all at QMC for 9am on Saturday!

As it's now been shared publicly, we are absolutely thrilled to inform our HFDA family, that our academy teacher Grace and her partner Ross welcomed their beautiful baby boy Noah into the world on the 19th May 💙

We wanted to take this opportunity to wish all of our academy members, parents and supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎄🎅🏼

Our academy members continue to be so dedicated to their classes week in, week out, and we want to thank each and every one of you for all your hard work this year. We can't WAIT to see you all back in January as we begin preparations for our full academy show in June!!

On a more personal note, Diane, Mia and Chanelle would like to say an extra special huge thank you to everyone for your kind words during a very tough few months for our family. We are incredibly grateful for all the love and support received.

Soak up every minute of the next few festive days with your loved ones, and we will see you all in 2026!!!! 💜

Today saw HFDA branch out into the world of dance competitions (beyond street dance comps!), with our tap duo Ella and Ellie and our street dance crew REMIX heading to the first ever 'Basingstoke Dance Competition' held at QMC. It was very insightful to be part of this sort of competition, and we are incredibly proud of our dancers as always for performing their hearts out up on that stage.

We came away with 3rd place in a very tough Senior Tap Duo/Trio category, with Ella and Ellie lighting up the stage with their incredible choreography and stage presence. Huge shout out to our amazing tap teacher for the most wonderful choreography, which truly showcased the girl's talents in their tap dancing.

And our street dance crew REMIX came away with 2nd place in the Commercial category. They should be incredibly proud of the feedback they received from the adjudicator and they really stepped it up today having only learnt their choreography set about 8 weeks ago. You continue to grow in confidence every time you perform REMIX! 💜

This week our UNITY crew were treated to a very special class...taught by our one and only Ella Gray

Ella has recently graduated from Kings Performing Arts College and in September, is heading off to 'Dance Box' studios in Milton Keynes where she will undertake a BA (Hons) Degree in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre.

Ella has recently ventured into teaching children's Commercial classes in her spare time, so we thought it would be a wonderful opportunity for her to expand on her teaching skills by choreographing our senior group (and Ella's own class that she attends!), and what an amazing job she did!

We are so proud of you Ella, and can't wait to see you spread your wings even further when you head off to Dance Box in September. We will be supporting you every step of the way!

But not before you pop in to teach our 2 children's crews next week 😊💜
