🌟 Congratulations to every one of our gymnasts who competed in the Southern Regional Championships at the weekend!
With 15 members taking part it proved a busy day of thrills, spills, somersaults + a regional champion or two (or FOUR!).
🏆Well done to Natalia, Elsie, Orin & Alice who all came 1st in their Club Level categories.
🥉Gabriela & Effie also won trophies as they each finished 3rd in their DMT groups. With Effie competing at Regional Level 1 her performance means she’s also first reserve for the Southern Regional team.
🏅Harriet (in her first competition) and Isla both won bronze medals for their excellent trampoline scores at SRA level.
💪 These competitions are not just about medals & trophies, but about personal accomplishments & teaching gymnasts to deal with adversity & challenges, as well as achieving successes. Today our gymnasts handled all of these with amazing character, and we are incredibly proud of them all!
From Olivia & Gabriela making unfortunate errors in their early DMT passes to then step up to pull off great subsequent passes, to Lauren having a fall in her final warm-up to show no fear to land her competition routine, to the team spirit shown by every single gymnast to support one another throughout the day, our members dealt with everything magnificently!
