Now, not only did Robin Watkins, our 2026 men's club champion, win the scratch trophy 🏆 he took the nett trophy home too 🏆😮 with a nett score of 139 (-5), 3 shots ahead of Phil Andoh 🥈👏 Hope you have a big enough mantelpiece for the two trophies, Robin 🤣

The plate trophy, for those who tried their best in the first round but nerves got the better of them 😁, battle it out over 9 holes on The East Course ⛳ Mark Slaney took the glory, and the plate, with 19pts 🥇👏 2pts ahead of Archie Kimmins 🥈👏

Big shout out this time to the men's handicap and competitions committee 👏 for the smooth running of the event, especially Gary Tarling and Mark Stevens 👏 . Your time and expertise is much appreciated by all at the club 👏

And, finally thank you to everyone else involved in making the event a success, from our dedicated staff, fantastic members and kind volunteers 👏

Big shout out to Weybrook Park's Harry Miller, age 16, who successfully completed the 36-hole Alzheimer's Dementia challenge, raising a remarkable £500 in support of research and awareness 👏⛳🤗

The 2026 Weybrook Park Men's Club Championship has crowned a new champion, Robin Watkins, following a thrilling 3-hole playoff against Aashik Gurung, in front of many that stayed to cheer on the duo 🏆🏌️

The two golfers were tied at 153 after 36 holes, showcasing their exceptional skills. Ultimately, Robin emerged victorious, claiming the title and accolades 👏🏆🏌️

A big thank you to all involved making the event so successful, especially to club captain, Scott Boyle, who started all 122 players off on Saturday from 8am till 2pm along with the 78 qualifiers on Sunday 👏 Scott went on to present the winning trophy to the new champion 👏🏆

The West Course was looking stupendous, down to the dedication and skill of Luke Kenney, course manager and his magnificent team 👏⛳

✨Another magical moment on the Future Champions Tour at .park ✨
this weekend, we witnessed exactly what junior golf is all about. 💙⛳
While warming up for the 18-hole & 9-hole events, Hampshire U12 County player Alfie Hill spotted 6-year-old Jenson Parker and offered to help with some tips and advice before they headed to the first tee.
What an incredible gesture from Alfie, taking the time to support one of our youngest players. The pair spent time on the putting green together, with Alfie sharing valuable advice and encouragement that gave Jenson a real confidence boost.
Jenson absolutely loved it! 😊 Walking to the first tee full of excitement and armed with some new skills, he went on to play brilliantly and also impressed in the .golf Junior Golf Challenge that our players are working through this season.
Moments like these are what make the Future Champions Tour so special. It’s not just about scores and trophies, it’s about inspiring the next generation, building friendships, and growing the game we all love. 🌟
Well done, Alfie and Jenson. You both embodied the true spirit of golf this weekend. 👏🏌️‍♂️

A follow on from the successful recent England and Wales Blind Golf Association event, our very own Mark Macdonald took part in the ISPS Handa Spanish Blind Open held at the Isla Canela Golf Club ⛳️

"This is an annual event featuring 42 players from 11 different countries, to play competitive golf on a challenging course ( European tour qualifying venue) whilst meeting old and new friends." Says Mark ⛳️☀️🏌️

John Eakin and Mark Macdonald both of England and Wales Blind Golf (EWBG) were winner and runner up, respectively, in the Gross B3 category, fantastic achievement Mark 👏🥇🥈

Joshua Bristow took top spot in yesterdays English PGA Championship Pre-Qualifying here at Weybrook Park, with a tremendous 3 under par 69, taking into account the wind and rain the players had to endure 👏 ⛳

In total, just 4 players finished level par or better 😮 from the 115 entrants, proving that the West Course is a force to be reckoned with, even for the pros 😎

The top 37 players made it to the final, at Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort in July, with 6 over par and better 🏌️
