I started running 🏃‍♂️ again at the age of 50.

It’s literally been 15 years since I last ran a half marathon, and boy did it feel like it!

I’m pleased I finished it and managed to raise at least £800 for Pancreatic Cancer UK along the way 🙏

7k run 🏃‍♂️ this morning in preparation for the Kew Half Marathon in 3 weeks time.

A gentle warm up jog to the track, then 3 x 800m @ 5.05 km pace, then a cool down jog back home.

It’s good to be back. Although my legs might tell a different story tomorrow! 😬

Today has proved that I’ve got at least an hour and a half in the legs still 🚴‍♂️

It’s been a while since I pressed these!

Last week: 16k x 3 sets of 5 plus 18k x 2 sets of 5

Today: 18k x 3 sets of 5 plus 20k x 2 sets of 5

Following a strength program until the middle of February (6 weeks) then I’ll change it up again 💪🏻💪🏻

The rest of today’s program was:
