Bluewave Korean Martial Arts

Bluewave Korean Martial Arts High quality Korean Martial Arts including Traditional Taekwondo, Sport Taekwondo and Self Defence. The club is a full members of British Taekwondo.

Bluewave Korean Martial Arts offers Taekwondo programmes for all ages from 4 upwards. For 4-6 year olds we have a specialised programme called KickStars focused on agility, balance and coordination. For our juniors, ages 7 through to 12, we cover a broad Taekwondo syllabus and our adult classes provide greater emphasis on advanced self defence but also covering all other aspects of Taekwondo. We can also offer the opportunity to compete at all levels with specialised support and coaches for competitors. We welcome both new beginners and those with previous experience in Taekwondo or other martial arts. The club can provide you with

- high quality World Taekwondo/Kukkiwon Taekwondo training at affordable fees
- our own fully fitted dojang (gym) in Basingstoke, possibly the best in the South of England with a waiting area and free WiFi for parents
- access to the latest training equipment including an Olympic standard KP&P scoring system
- a challenging training syllabus covering Traditional Taekwondo, Self Defence and the Olympic Sport Taekwondo
- an enthusiastic and friendly atmosphere,
- the opportunity to participate in regular seminars, tournaments, and social events,
- an experienced team of coaches who are committed to Taekwondo at its best.

Whilst we don’t have an exact schedule yet, we know that Gini is competing in both the O60 Pair and O60 Team Female on day four

We couldn’t be prouder of our whole Bluewave team who competed at last weekend’s 9th Bluewave Open Poomsae Championships.

Everyone put in amazing performances, and we even finished 10th place in the overall team results!

Also shout out to Master Coleen, Master Corey, Master Sian, Caelan and Amy; who did a great job with coaching all the team as well as competing.

Big shout out and thank you to our volunteers from the 9th Bluewave Poomsae Championships. Without our volunteers, hosting a successful competition would not be possible. We appreciate all the help and time they gave us; from setting up on the Saturday, running courts on the Sunday, and staying to close down and pack up on the Sunday. We appreciate every single volunteer that was involved, thank you!

Thank you to all the competitors, coaches, supporters, volunteers and officials that supported our 9th Bluewave Poomsae Championships. It was an honour to have over 440 competitors from 55 clubs, as well as 14 International Referees at our championships.

Also a big thank you to .nationaltaekwondoclub for providing the scoring, for supplying mats, for hosting us and to for supplying the medals. As well as , DE Photography and who had stands on the day.

We hope everyone had an enjoyable day and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
